  1. I don't know where to start on this-took boat out-yesterday-all of a sudden you turn key nothing at controls and no trim either at controls or on engine. Have disconnected things to isolate cables to battery and trim on motor only still nothing. Battery is brand new full charge-I am thinking there is something that got disconnected on engine or an electrical component that has failed because I think by disconnecting from controls I have eliminated any neutral safety switches. Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated. It is a 93 Evinrude 40hp with factory trim and tilt.

  2. in 1972 our rowboat was stolen, I was ten at the time, this happened two days after my 8 year old cousin drowned. Had a business that was struggling three years ago, someone came and stole a bunch of stuff-it was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak-closed the business shortly afterwords-it is something you don't forget.

  3. SOLD 6/21/11

redoing the post as of 6/14

1975 16 Starcraft Holiday aluminum, E/Z loader trailer, 1993 40 HP Evinrude PT/T-$3000.00 or best offer. This boat sat inside unused for two decades. Seats, carpet, floor original. Vinyl on the dash is original including sticker. Has convertible top. Walk through windshield. Has been repairs on the spray rail years ago by a pro-can see both sides of the fix. Common issue to some starcrafts, boat will fail before it does. Has auxilary/kicker mount. New tires on trailer-bearings are fine-have trailered the boat 150 miles this month. Had a 65 Mercury on it that blew due to sitting all those years. 1993 40 Evinrude with power trim on it right now. I will also entertain boat or boat/trailer package sale. Boat has to be sold first before I would sell motor separately. Or if you have your motor 35-85 just pop it on.

I have used this boat this spring, it works fine. It is very light so it can be towed by just about anything

Boat located in Dunkirk NY. Have too many boats in my driveway right now, need to get back down to two.

  4. Leaks around windshields and cabin hatches become common as boats get older. You pin the issue down by taking a garden hose a spraying the outside of the boat with someone looking on the inside to determine where is is coming from. Depending on the boat, it could be leaking at the windshield and running down to the first opening through the seal around the hatch. Trial and error is the only way I know to troubleshoot it.

  5. had a friend who bought a Sea Ray Amberjack which upon being surveyed found a spot between the two outdrives that was bad. A professional boat place cut out the piece and rebuilt it, boat is good to go. From your description, maybe the metal surround of the drain was bad and hopefully it is just a limited area and not the whole thing.

  6. Princecraft is a Canadian boat company and was one of the last that OMC or Brunswick bought when they were buying up builders in the 1990's. I would place them quality wise at the level of a Lund or a Crestliner so any livewell system should be the equal of those. It seems they are making a push to sign dealers as I know they have added one in the Western Southern Tier of NY this past fall.

  7. In my opinion, they were top shelf boats. They are also welded which will be debated but I think there is an advantage to that. Stopped makign them in 2003. There are a few for sale this spring in Western NY, so if you need to look for one, send me a PM, one is down the street from where I work.

  8. It is too bad the manufacturers and the buying public have left small pickups to die in the market. The Ranger has been around since 1983, just updated. Ford refuses to bring the one they just launched in the rest of the world over here. GM is said to be bringing the new Canyon/Colorado which looks good from the pictures I have seen. Not everyone needs a full size rig to accomplish their tasks.

  9. Buyer backed out/price reduced SOLD 5/24/11

1999 Yamaha 50 hp long shaft 2 stroke PT/T. Motor sat inside for 5 years. Just had it taken to the local marina to have it gone through, new impeller, plugs, lower unit refill etc. I doubt it has more than 100 hours. Reason for sale is purchase of larger motor.

Mounted on boat so you can hear run. Comes with controls $2200.00 or best offer.

    Located in Dunkirk NY.
