  1. I received your info and payment 58J, thank you and see you next weekend. Good luck, Mark
  2. Anyone who was waiting to sign up for this at the last minute the time is getting close. I will need some time to put together a scoring sheet/board for the weigh in station. If you are wanting to get it on this shoot me a PM and I will get you signed up. If we get just a few more involved this will be successful. Thank you to those that have already got on board and I hope to hear from more of you out there. Good luck to all on the water this year and be safe. Mark 607-760-7130
  3. May 17-18 for the spring and September 20-21 for the fall. That's coming from Barney when we spoke last month. Mark
  4. Entries are coming in slowly now that we are getting closer. If all of you that showed interest in this series follow up and get in it we will have a good field of boats to fish against. To those that may have a conflicting date, remember, only the four highest two day scores out of the five events will be counted. So every team will have an event they can miss or just not count towards the over all total. Thanks to you all and see you at the water soon, Mark
  5. I couldn't agree with you more Andy, the boat will be going in this week. I am fishing Barney's again this year. Hope to see you at Myers. Mark
  6. I have had 8 Traxstech rod holders for about 7 years now and even thou they get wiped down often the pours in the finish have collected dirt and grime and they discolor some and loose the "new" look. This morning while cleaning the boat I laid them out and sprayed them with oven cleaner. After ten minutes I hosed them off and they look like new again. I would much rather be posting a fishing report but I haven't been out yet so I thought I'd share this little trick, for what its worth. LJ
  7. Wow, thank god you stuck to your guns and went south. Good job men. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Great way to start the season, beautiful fish!
  9. This will be pinned at the top of the Fingers Lake page hopefully Monday when Chad is back at the wheel. That said I'd like to say thank you to Chad and to the LOU for their help with this tournament. I will have some sheets with me tomorrow at the show in Watkins Glen for those of you that are going. If anyone is having a problem opening the attachment in order to print it you can PM or call me. 607-760-7130. You can also make a tournament fee payment of a donation via Face Book on the Cayuga Fisherman page. Thanks for supporting this worthwhile project, Mark
  10. Sounds like the interest is there for this series. I will post a rules/sign up sheet on here later today and I hope to have some at the show in Watkins Glen this weekend. Thanks, Mark
  11. The selection at BPS is hit and miss and that's when they have any at all. I get mine at www.sliderfishing.com. The shipping is quick and the you will be hard pressed to find them at a better price. Good luck, Mark
  12. Myself and three others from the LOU have come up with an idea for a 333 style series similar to the one they run out in Michigan. It will be known as the Cayuga Lake 333 and the following is a description of the format, rules and entry/payout breakdown. If there is enough interest I will get folks signed up and make this happen. Best part is a portion of the money will go to the lift project at Myers. Cayuga Lake 333 is a tournament series that will be ran in conjunction with the derby's already being held on the lake as an "add-on" or" side bet" competition meant to enhance the size of the field of competitors and offer those interested a second level of competition. The object of the 333 tournament is to weigh the heaviest 3 fish over the course of a two day derby. In the 333, teams can only enter 3 fish over the course of the two day event. Teams can weigh 3 fish or zero fish on day one however any fish weighed on the first day of the competition cannot exchanged for a heavier fish on day two. Strategy and nerves of steel could have a 10 pound fish not weighed towards a three fish total on day one in hopes of finding that 12 pounder out there on day two. Of course day two's big fish could be a 6 pounder and your stuck weighing it towards the 3 fish total. Risk vs. Reward..... All NYS DEC rules and regulations apply to the 333. Any violations of these rules will result in that team being DQ'ed for that day. In addition to NYS rules and regs the 333 will also follow the rules and weigh-in schedule of the host event. The 333 is not an individual event but rather a per boat event. The crew on the boat may change but all weights must be recorded to the same boat and captain throughout the course of the series. Weigh-in's will be done at the host tournaments scale (thanks to Barney for his help) and will be recorded daily. Results will be post here on a "pinned" heading that Chad is helping me with and also on a facebook page we will be starting for the 333 if there's enough interest. After the last event weights will be totaled for the season and a winner declared. 333 dates will be May 17-18 (B&B Spring Derby), June 14-15 (333 only event), July 12-13 (Salvation Army), August 9 (Lighthouse Derby will be day one and the LOU-All date TBD will be day two) and September 20-21 (B&B Fall Derby). Each team will be able to drop their lowest total out of the five events. Teams will combine four event totals towards their series over-all weight. This will allow a team that may have a scheduling conflict for one of the dates to still compete in the other 4 events and remain competitive. One time entry of $150 covers all five events. Pay outs are based on a ten boat field. 1st place-$600....2nd place-$400.....3rd place-$250 and $250 towards the lift project. All entry fee's after the 10th boat will go directly to the lift project. The payout will not increase but the lift project will benefit. If the field ends up 20 boats the project gets $1750, 30 boats the project gets $4750 and so on. That's our idea, now we are looking to see how much interest there is out there. If there is enough interest I will get printable entry forms on here and start getting boats singed up. As a vet myself I'd like to thank Rollie for his efforts in getting the Myers lift project off the ground and thanks to all of you that have supported this cause. Mark
  13. If a picture truly is worth a 1000 words, that photo tells the story of this seemingly never ending winter. Cool pic Ken

  15. The 8'3" BDW 1101 on the BPS sight are listed as light action. I have several of them and have zero complaints. Mark
  16. I can remember going into Dick's as a kid and it was an outdoors store, know if it's not made by Nike or Taylor Made golf they don't carry it. Sad really. I for one am happy to hear Gander is coming back.
  17. Way to go Andy!!!! That looks like one heck of a trip, congratulations. LJ
  18. I'm selling my Furuno FCV-620 sounder. I bought it new and used it on my old boat for 1/2 a season. The new rig I bought came equipped with a comparable sounder so instead of drilling more holes and swamping them out I'm selling this one. Great unit that is complete with all mounting hardware and instructions, all cables required and transducer with mounting bracket .Still in original box with all instructions and mounting templates. Sells new for $900 +/- without transducer($100), will let this go for $500 + shipping or can be picked up in Binghamton area. Mark 607-760-7130
  19. '06 Striper 2601 Pic on trailer was 14 hours away the day I bought her. Hit a snow storm with 8" of snow on the way home so our adventures together started from day one. What a "maiden" voyage that was!! LJ
