  1. It's not the deer exhibit at the Zoo its Sampson State park Musky wanted me to post some pictures so here they are Bob I couldn't find the one of the eight point but I'll keep looking.
  2. I was out Sun oct. 3rd the surface temp was 62-63 there was a temp. break 50 down it dropped to 55* and then gradually dropped to 44* at 87ft. the weeds weren't to bad a few here and there but managable.
  3. Fish Consumption Concerns Can I eat fish from water containing blue-green algae? Some blue-green algal toxins have been shown to accumulate in the tissues of fish and shellfish, particularly in the viscera (liver, kidney, etc.). Whether or not the accumulation levels are sufficient to pose a risk to humans is uncertain, although it would depend in part on the levels of consumption and on the severity of the blue-green algae blooms where the fish or shellfish were caught or collected. The World Health Organization advises that people who choose to eat fish taken from water where a blue-green algae bloom is present eat such fish in moderation and avoid eating the guts of the fish, where accumulation of toxins may be greatest. Also, take care to not cut into organs when filleting the fish and rinse the fillets with clean water to remove any liquids from the guts or organs before freezing or cooking. Grady, Did a little searching after I read your post and concern, this is just a general article that I came up with but sounds like it would be worth calling the DEC and asking if there is alarm for fish consumption this winter...I would assume if they were worried about it they might put out some kind of Health alert but you know what they say about assuming. 24. Managed a solo outing in the rain, pretty good day on the lake fishing though ended up with a 2lb largemouth, 4lb smallmouth a 7lb rainbow and a bonus! 9lb walleye. most of the fish were caught north of and near the bluffs the two bass were in 40 fow down 20ft one on a blue red bill flatfish and the other on a boy/girl stingray scorpion spoon both on a cheater...the bow came on a kevorkian stingray spoon right out in the middle of the lake trolling east/west down 35 ft also on a cheater...the walleye was also out in the middle of the lake 20ft. down on a cheater with a copper confusion spoon...I ran into "Laker Taker" and showed him how well I did after all his advice when we fished a month ago I appreciate the help Chuck...he was also nice enough to snap a few pictures for me ...good fishin to all! Tom
