  3. malin 7-strand IF your near pulaski area all season sports your best bet between pulaski and oswego then its JON'S lil salmon sports on RT 104
  4. 3-1 is a good start clear dipsies work best for me with a ring 4-8' for leader.... 20lb might lose you a couple rigs on a hard hitting king no snubber will get better hook ups ( my opinion )
  5. 30 lb test here also typical spread to start out is mag spoon on 1 rigger with free slider.... meat rig on other rigger..... flasher/fly on each wire dipsy and if have 3rd person on board will run 2 lines of the boards for steelies and coho either with snap weights or mini discs
  6. when i'm running 2 rods i start with a wire dipsy and a rigger w/ free slider might change one out for a copper rod if its slow more days than not when the kings are biting it ends up with 2 wire dipsies out if salmon fishing its either 2 flasher/fly combos or 1 flasher/fly and 1 meat rig
  7. i use the spin DR flasher boxes.... they hold both spin DR's and E-chips havnt seen any for the 11" flashers yet so they get stored in a corner pocket out of the way til i need them
  8. 1st and easiest step..... read all the reports on here 2nd fill your boat with gas and get fishing 3rd... repeat steps 1 and 2 as many times as needed
  9. always a good time with you guys lew....thanks for letting me tag along wish we would have checked the deeper water found some browns sun afternoon 60-65 FOW good laker bite mon morning out over 120 fow
  10. new this spring used mayby 6 times.... $180.00 can meet you any where from oswego to henderson to pick up
  11. i was getting them in 40-45 fow near the bottom on a glow white e-chip and big weenie oily stool fly 75 feet behind the rigger if you dont have gps with contours be very careful of the rock ledges in the area around the lighthouse
  12. 30 lb is fine... i use the suffix smoke green...plus the fleas wont build up on it
  13. my opinion its early for the lanes.... the finger by the stony lighthouse has been good for lakers and a few browns lately
  14. mostly depends on entries what the payback is..... good merchandise prizes.... we did get our entry money back last year with a second place finish
  15. never considered trolling to be a waste of gas now driving to work yea thats kinda wasteful....lol
  16. 2 weeks of east winds has changed things abit but yes they are still there....tourney season has begun so the reports have slowed a bit
