  1. We fish Lake on Ontario anywhere from 6' in the spring to 700' in the summer. I have a Garmin 8610sxv and looking to add a new Airmar Chirp Transducer. Looking at the 1KW 185HW chirp, but now I see a new 1KW 165 Ultra Wide Medium chirp transducer. As with all of us we really only fish the top 185' of the water column and want to receive as much detail as possible. Was hoping for a little guidance.
  2. Thanks guys solid recommendations I will check out each of them.
  3. Look at the Frogg Toggs steelheaders, Do these keep you warm in early February ? Did you get a bigger boot size and add insulated socks?
  4. Typo, Neoprene waders always leak. Have bought 4 pairs over the years.
  5. Budget is $200 to $600, Neoprene waders also leak. Would like them with attached boot. Can you get insulated breathable? Will check out Frogg Togg waders .
  6. Looking for a pair of good Steelhead Chest waders? Salmon River is mighty cold in February. Every time I get Neoprene waders they do not last. Last year first time in leaked. But they are warm. I like chest waders with boots attached. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Wish I saw this 3 weeks ago, junked the digitroll and bought and optimum.
  8. Great Report, Hope this weekend is good fishing.
  9. Went to salmon school in Pulaski last month, two out of three of the charter capt's loved the Garmin Panoptix's They showed a video of trolling, seeing the fish live, looked great. Added it to my boat last week, cant wait to try once we start fishing a little deeper.
  10. Looking for some help on heading sensors. Adding 18" Fantom radar to my boat this year for help with the fog. Motion scope looks like it will be great to see other boats. Not sure which heading sensor will work, Staedycast for $140 or Axion 9 $650? Would like to use the Steadycast but don't want to waste money. Also not sure if maybe Airman has one which will work. Thank you in advance
  11. Agreed had a great time and learned a lot, All the captains did a great job. Would love to attend 2025.
  12. Started with Big Jons broke two booms and went to Cannon Digitrols. After 20 years one Digitrol died and Screwy Louie replace the board and turned into a Mag 10 Also don't like the short stop and speed. Went to Optimum, wow speeds are adjustable and retrieve has a soft stop. Like bottom track and all the other bells and whistles. Friends mostly have Scotty's and love them. Never tried or even seen the Magnum Metalz. Good Look
  13. Nice Job, save a few for me on the weekend.
