It doesn't have power tilt and trim but the kicker mount L&M has for sale (on this forum) is what I have and I love it.One flip of a lever push down on top of the motor the shock push it in to upright lock position and go.It sits far enough away from the boat you can manually tilt your motor if desired. My boat is pretty easy to reach the kicker from the back of the boat, maybe yours isn't.I have a 15hp on mine and the shock pushes it up and out of the water as good today as it did when I started to use it over 10 years ago.

OMC Kicker Motor Bracket Sold
Sean Youngblood replied to L&M's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
Windurn I am going to help Hank out here.It is rated up to 15hp.The travel I would guess is about12 to 16 in.It is shock assisted with a flip of a lever push down on your motor and it will pop up effortlessly. They do not make these anymore.I own one and love it.They sold for over $400 new.Probably the best axillary bracket made. -

The best super bowl I ever had my friend and I were ice fishing the Bay of Quinte and his car broke down .We missed the game and were stuck there for a week.It was awesome.
-
Well done Slimy ! You sure can ice them bows.If you ever need company count me in.Sure looks fun.I spent the day digging out the boat.I have a little chrome on my mind to.Hope to hit the Niagara up soon.

Kappy I caught a nice one years ago had to be close to 5lbs.At The Bay of Quinte while walleye fishing .The guy next to me was so excited saying thats a beautiful fish. I gave it to him.He had a 12lbs walleye laying next to him and he was more excited about the Whitefish.I also caught a couple of very small ones last year on Irondequoit Bay.So I guess you can catch them around Rochester. They are kind of a rare catch out of Lake Ontario but they are in there.

Well the perch and white fish are definitely the best table fare. The lake trout are the best fight. The Lake Trout are not that difficult to catch. They are eating machines.I have had my best luck for Lakers in deep water 80 to 100 ft.just off bottom with Swedish pimples tipped with minnows. It really helps to have good electronics such as a vexilar.I have only caught a couple of white fish.I caught them in the same manner but much shallower water, like 30 ft.You can get all the info you need on iceshanty.com.Welcome aboard this is a great forum with tons of info.I just wish people here would share there ice fishing reports a little more so I wouldn't have to go to the shanty. You my get better help if you specify were you are going to be fishing.

Lake Erie, Sturgeon Point Marina access point
Sean Youngblood replied to jimski2's topic in Ice fishing
Thanks Jimski2 for the report.I was out the day after the guy went in.I was on foot, you guys blazed a great trail out there.I fished from 11 to 5.Fishing in 54 ft. Fishing was a little slow for me.Kept 8 nice perch threw a couple back.Best perch I have caught all year. Most of my action was from 3 to 4. -
Great fish slimy got to love those trout on a jigging pole.
-
Deaf Fisherman I would say not very big seeing how the Smelt are only 3 to 4 in.long, maybe 1/4 in.I only catch smelt with rod and reel for bait.I am more like Raisin Brand 2 scoops and I am done.lol
-
Deaf Fisherman for best results go at night with your lantern shining down the hole.Use the smallest ice jig you have tipped with a spike. Some guys put a little piece of yarn on the hook so the Smelts teeth get stuck in the yarn, just in case the hook doesn't get them.Set up in shallow water about 20ft.
-
Some places sell preserved packaged certified bait including smelt, try Gander.I have never bought it, but a guy showed me a package of cured smelt that he had bought and he had some nice pike to boot.I usually just jig up some small perch and throw them on my tip-ups,it has worked good for me here on Silver Lake.
-
I would have to say no and no.Here are the regs. from DEC.website.use of dead fish as Bait Any dead fish, or parts thereof excluding eggs, that have been packaged for commercial sale and have been preserved by methods other than by freezing only (i.e. salted minnows) can be used in any water body where it is legal to use fish as bait and do not require a receipt. Each package of dead bait fish must be individually labeled, identifiying the name of the packager/processor, the name of the species, the quantity of fish contained, and the means of preservation.

Bloodshot they do good a night with a lantern shining down the hole in 20ft. in front of the boat launch.
-
Fished Canadice today and got this 5.5lb. while jigging. First I jigged up some smelt for the tip-ups, had one flag. Then landed the Laker on Swedish pimple.

Braided Line and FLEAS
Sean Youngblood replied to lgeines's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
I ran 30lbs spider wire on my rigger rods a couple weeks ago when the fleas were unmanageable it grabbed more fleas but would clean off twice as fast as it would on mono. The spider wire was abrasive enough you could hold tension on your line slide the fleas back and forth a couple times and it would cut them right off.It would just slide down the mono and it would take 2 to 3 times longer to clean my lines.I have run 45 pound braided on my dipseys before with good luck but 7 strand wire is the way to go.It will dive deeper and fleas won't be a problem just use a tiwi tip on your rod. -
Oak Orchard
Sean Youngblood replied to rdebadts's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Like FX said all the information you need for landmarks and just about anything you need to Know is on At the Oaks there is a wealth of information there. The fishing the last two weeks has been on fire at the Oaks you, won't have a problem catching fish.I normally fish Olcott and do better than I do at the Oaks but the last 2 weeks at the Oaks have been some of the best fishing I have ever had.I have not done very good on the Kings but you can't beat the bows off your hook. The average size has been great with most fish over 10lbs.Last Saturday the day started with a double of 10 and 11 pound bows before 6am I love when that happens. We had a steady pick the rest of the day boated 11 fish lost 5 or 6 fish and were blown off the lake by 2.Not all bad for 2 guys and 4 rods. The Saturday before we did 18 fish with at least 10 fish over 10 lbs.We have been fishing mostly 220 to 320 we have run out as far as 500 but so far that hasn't been nearly as productive.I am sure we would do better on the Kings a little shallower but I have been having a blast with the bows.I will dial in on the Kings a little more for the Fall Derby. We have been running Spin Docs and flies on wire divers and spoons with sliders on the riggers. Good luck -

Spiny Water fleas
Sean Youngblood replied to ontariofisher's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
I have been running 30lbs braided line it grabs a lot of fleas but if you hold tension on the line and slide the fleas back and forth a couple times it cuts them right off.I also keep 2 extra rods rigged up to put in the rotation if things get to out of control. -
