  1. Awesome footage. I can't wait!
  2. Sorry to hear about this. I think it's a great idea to set something up for the family.
  3. Give "Independent Marine" a call. Bill is a great mechanic and may have leads for you.
  4. This made my day and brought back a great memory of my daughter's first big fish. Congratulations to a terrific fisherperson!! Merry Xmas!!!
  5. I am running dangerously low on brown trout eggs. I would love to get some if anyone has some frozen to spare. P.M. me and happy holidays to everyone on LOU. Larry
  6. Here is my "Carp, the other white meat" tattoo.
  7. Unfortunately they are online only. Fish USA has P line spoons that are beautys too. They ship from PA and are fast! The P line's are very nice spoons and will also be "unfamiliar" to our fish. I love cleos too, but sometimes our fish see a lot of our local stuff and strike at something unfamiliar. http://www.fishusa.com/product/P-Line-Pro-Steel-Spoons I hope you crush those fish!!!!! Here's another neat tip that I started running this year with improved hook ups and less damage to the fish; https://outdooraddictions.wordpress.com/2015/01/01/the-trailing-hook-method/ I use scientific angler fly backing to do the trailing hook technique. This truly works! Tight Lines.
  8. Although very expensive check out B.C. spoons. The genuine silver and gold 50/50 is awesome. Nickle appears black under water but real silver retains its shine deeper. Without a doubt, a bonus rod with a fat night crawler under a bobber is deadly. Trust me, open your bail with that rig or use a bait runner reel. I hope you get some beauties!
  9. I stay away from these arguments usually. It would be amazing if our kings would naturally reproduce. It really would. I do urge you to look into when salmon were introduced to Michigan and then lake o within the past decades, 60's and 70's. Native fish, lakers, some atlantic salmon were here 100s of years ago, but certainly not chinook
  10. Right on thanks. I have some ready to go too. I have chummed a few of my summer swims this week, but havent had a carp. I fish Irondequoit bay and Genessee river. Any spots are appreciated. This would be my first fall trying for carp. Last winter I chummed the Genny daily and ended up with some decent steelhead.....but carp??? Thanks again!!
  11. I am interested in getting some hogs as they put the feed on before winter? Any tips on bait or locations chum is appreciated
  12. Sounds nice. Can you send me pictures? Does it have a trailer?
  13. Nice work Matt. Larry
  14. Lurepartsonline.com
  15. Walt's going to teach me how to Center Pin this year! I don't have a center pin set up yet though. I have a nice pair of manual Penn Fathomaster Downriggers. I also have a beauty Eagle fish finder that works great. The riggers are long OR short arm depending on how you set them up. They have swivel bases. They work as they should. I fish every day, so I don't want junk. If you are not interested in a trade, let me know what you have and how much you are willing to part with it for. Larry
  16. Thanks folks. There are a few around for sale. Some of them may need a repower. This feedback is appreciated
  17. Independent Marine. Bill may have one. Irondequoit
  18. Awesome job. I love that boat too! Keep up tge great work.
  19. As a kid I worked on a 1983 V20 Steplift charter boat. Surprisingly it fished 4 guys well. It was a solid rig with a 140 Evinrude o.b. I thought it was a great rig then. Dies anyone have feedback on these dinosaurs? Stringers, transoms, etc?
  20. Toothpaste works great
  21. The sound of a drag screaming, your buddies laughing, forgetting about work, your kids letting you in on their lives.......priceless
  22. This is an amazing boat and Tommy takes immaculate care of everything he owns. This boat catches fish period. My best friend's boat is docked near it and we fish with the Sea IV weekly. The boat runs mint and I was surprised at how smooth her power tames the seas. This will make someone super happy. I wish it was me.
  23. Absolutely great photos! I love tackle shops too. I worked at B E Tackle for quite a few years. Great shop. I kept a notebook of the amazing fishermen and crazy things that happened. It is a book in the making when I retire from teaching. I read your posts faithfully and look forward to learning. Keep up the great work. Larry
