  1. Oh man! Don't listen to Jack "Gobie-Wan-Kanobi".
  2. Awesome Jack, by the way, I may need your help installing a new alternator and batteries this week......F.B.G.M.
  3. S and R tackle on Culver Rd near Sea Breeze. Awesome shop.
  4. New company or not, honor the warranty or remove it from the rods and advertising. That's the point.
  5. Howdy folks. I just wanted to relay the extremely poor customer service I had with Cortland this week. One of my favorite rods which happened to be a Cortland broke. I purchased it with a life time warranty. When I called the company, yes right here in New York, "Lisa" told me to email her. She didn't take much time with me on the phone. Sooooo, I emailed her the information. Her response was great.....at first. She was able to find a tip for my noodle rod. She then explained that it would cost me $50 to have it shipped to me here in West Irondequiot, NY. Yes, $50 and the rod was originally $70. I couldn't believe it so I called (God forbid I actually want to talk to a person instead of typing) and she transfers me to talk to "Chris". This guy gets on the phone after a long pause (obviously those two are filling each other in to prepare for me) and tells me that it's actually $20. What? Are you kidding me? I wish they could make up their minds! They went on and on about how other companies do this and that.......they flat out denied my request for a rod tip. They would NOT honor the life time warranty. They avoided the question of "What does a life time warranty mean then?". I hate to gripe, but I am really bummed about what happened to me and I don't want it to happen to any of you out there. Beware of Cortland! I heard that Blood Run flee line is better anyway!!!!!!! Larry

  11. nice work Tommy. I will touch base in the a.m.
  12. Jack dialed us in this morning as he eased into 150 foot. The 3 Amigos set up a 2 dipsey, 2 rigger spread and a 300 copper rod down the middle. A dirty white boy spoon started the day off in style with a nice steelie. The bite was on after that with a 200 foot wire dipsey on setting 3 taking 3 more silver trout and a king. We will be out again in the a.m.
  13. I had the great pleasure of fishing with an awesome fisherman tonight. "pvelyk" Patrick runs a great spread that catches fish. We ended up fishing from 130 to 225. it wasnt fast and furious, but it was quality. Patrick put us fish. We ended 2 for 3 after I lost a beauty of a steelie.

  16. With our fish coughing up alewives, I want to catch my own bait to run on meat rigs. I checked out a youtube vid on lake O where a guy uses a sabaki rig to catch two or three at a time. Anyone know where to buy them LOCALLY. I would rather hook up a local shop before online.
  17. All right Pat! I'm sorry I didnt get back to you. I am officially on vacation ....finally. I cant wait to fish and learn. Nice job buddy. Larry

  20. Pim is my son's best friend and has become like a second son to me (Happy Fathers day guys). Pim stayed on the ropes with this heavyweight and the rope a dope proved him victorious with his 3rd ever fish. This slob inhaled a hair rig with sweet corn. He chummed him in with a couple cans of niblets. This was an epic battle but Pim was patient, took the poungding and wore him down. Pim's George Foreman is a solid 35, maybe 40. Pim decided he would like to honor a nice fisherman with the fish. He is hooked forever. To all the dads, THIS is what it's all about! Larry
