Are these speed differences all at the same depth? Make sure you're not dealing with currents if you're comparing surface speed to down speed. Other than that can't imagine why.

I tried years ago to get rid of some expired ones. Nobody would take them. Now I keep some expired ones on board just in case and use the rest to start campfires. [emoji91][emoji91] Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
This was recommended by a fisherman buddy. Got it on Amazon. Worked great yesterday after the little savages found us. Only applied it once from knees down. Leaves a little oily film that they may land on but don't bite.
We saw several smaller parcels of land between I-bay and Hedges yesterday. One was washed up on the rocks in I-Bay channel. Not sure what you're seeing when they're a distance away.
Wicked currents for sure that day Matt. I thought the secret that day was the Keystones. [emoji481] Gonna have to get the Optimizers outta mothballs. Sent from my SM-G950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Wave action is driven by waves? Is that what he said? A 1000 mile no wake zone? I'm surprised no one was smirking behind him but of course they still want a job.
Thanks Circus for posting that
FYI. Keep a pair of leather gloves on board in case you snag something on one of the Otters and you have to hand over hand it back in. Happened to us last week after snagging a stick/branch.
