About how long will it take for the temps to stablize(set up) again like it was a week or so ago? I was seeing 58 degrees on the surface east of Olcott yesterday, the fishing was terrible. Hit and miss with spoons one good rip and nobody home. One really small I think king flipped off at the boat . I would see packs of fish here and there then blank screen for 20minutes from 80-120..weird. The currents were really strong below 50 every where just swinging everything towards the shore line trolling west. new to this transformation and was not going 4 or 5 miles offshore in the tin can to find fish Seeing hit and miss reports too..not like a week ago Thanks ahead Chris

I just started using a musky torpedo in front of 200feet of copper for lake Ontario. The clip makes it really easy to detach with one hand. Really easy way to get down to 70 or even 90 without a ton of copper out

A friend of mine at work just got his first boat and takes his wife fishing on the weekends on Irondequiot Bay. A 14 foot aluminum He tells me he is not having any luck at all finding bass and panfish!!..not sure how this is possible but I had some tough days a trollin too I wish I could help but actually have only been out there once years ago and wouldn't know the first thing as far as where to go in the bay, what baits work? Can anyone offer some suggestions? He would be happy with any type of fish I am sure after 3 attempts and getting very discouraged. Thanks ahead!

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:530-1030 Weather/Temp:warm and breezy Wind Speed/Direction:light sw Waves: rolling 2 footers, rough at times NOT less than 1foot Surface Temp: 73 Location:just east of Olcott LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 8 Total Boated:5 Species Breakdown:4 Kings 1 rainbow Hot Lure: NBK , purple NKs early, green later Trolling Speed: 2.5-3 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 90-125 Lure Depth: 40-90 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Made a last minute decision last night to trailer to Lake Ontario for an early solo-troll, forcast looked good outta Olcott waves looked workable at noaa. Left a t 330am dropped in at 5:15 after dodging several parkway deer a few skunks and other furry creatures that like black top Ran out to 60fow to slow rolling 2 footers that were not fun but decided to give it a go and hang in and it paid off BIG time. Tried trolling slow in 60-70 for a while for an hour till I was sure the lake was gonna kinda behave and then made my way out to 100 at about 7ish to find a good graph and a few dink Kings that tuned me for the non-dink later. Anything purple worked early for spoons did not matter 200 copper torpedo, 165-190wire dip as long as it was right at 60 they were firing! Worked 100-125 until 830ish and decided to work back to 90's at 930 trolling west. At 945 the downrigger pole took off screaming set at 65 down over 90 and the battle was on!! Took me 20 minutes or so not sure to boat this 28lbs beauty. My first big king in the 16er...what a morning Thanks to all the awesome boards up here at lou, you guys make it possible for nonpro to score some nice fish too Here are a few pics..not sure when I can get back

Nice walleye!! My son and I trailered up there last June, stayed in Alex bay. We tried casting, drifting all kinds, tossin junk all depths..the only thing that worked for us was trolling cranks!!! great area down under the rt.81 bridge and towards Clayton to do that. We caught 4 or 5 smallies one morning all 3-5lbs range. Natural colored deep divers were best I will be going back to figure out the eyes!!
