Hemlock is cold Les. Don't need to troll real deep why the little boats do well in there.
There was a guy there Friday night I was Bass fishing said the big Lakers were stuck to the bottom though and deep so who kbows. I was Bass fishing did well on minnow rigs in 10fow left the droid in the truck..dah no pics.

Look at the crossbow regs. Between 100-200 lbs and for a few days prior to gun. But I can fire a 3006 in Livingston County now during gun season. Who thinks this $%& up?
Hi guys looks like a solo effort is in my near future Friday I hope. Any preference here or even sections of lake to target?
The reports look pretty good for both minus the fleas.
Thanks for any info
Chuck that huge sucker is back in there eating the rainbows..lol
I hope it doesn't spawn wow think of the giants lurking already in there.
Wonder how big the Lakers can get!!
Caught a bunch of smaller kings with the 16footer .. a small king I think too but no expert here. I don't get rainbow on this one?? Black mouth that back pattern looks king
One rigger , a dipsey way back and leadcore or short copper down the middle works really good.
The netting part is an art form going solo it takes some time to perfect..and please keep the life jacket on!!
Been up several times in a 16 footer pictured below Golden Hills and I will tell you definetly doable but listen to all the guys in here great info and a big help when i ventured out a few years back.
Couple things to carve into rock j93.
You will not enjoy the luxury of relaxing ..lol forget it ..stay absolutely locked into the wind direction cause if it shifts and picks up and it can do this on a nice sunny day its time to motor back close to shore . never challenge this or you can get in serious trouble cause a small.craft will not power out of a quick change to 3footers and a stiff wind from a nice smooth lake.
Also absolutely forget about heading out if there are storms around or predicted...why? Wait for good weather and a light sw wind. Not worth the risk.
You don't need to go out beyond 100fow . I caught 3 kings one morning in 90fow 50 down. It's close enough to shore to catch all the big lake offers and still be ready to pick up and run in. Make sure the motor is running well no issues . I had a back up .
Never fish out there for a second without a good life jacket on. Fighting these fish from a small rig is a serious physical challenge you will find out don't risk it for a second!! Keep your cell in your pocket in a zip lock bag...good luck these fish are not hard to catch the reward is life lasting but please be safe first!!!
Just bought a H5 GPS model at Dicks for my 14 footer . I think it's as much technology as a small boater would ever need, the detail is amazing . I already have several marks plotted on Hemlock . The screen is perfect size for a smaller rig but I would definetly go for the bigger size 7 inch screen on a larger rig. I can't wait to get out on Cayuga with it and target LLs. Good luck
Anyone been out there for trout? I have been fishing the south end of Hemlock with a very slow return. Did see 2 mature eagles today ...glass flat and screaming warm this afternoon
Wow that's a little scarey seeing that big sucker up on the house like that. Don't let the cat out ..lol
I am running video now bought a new truth cam at Wally's where we see the cubs . That particular opening is quite remote I think they feel like they can hangout and rest up there is a high flat surrounded by really thick cover.
I just pulled cards on a cam hanging since May 25. We got 5 different bears including 3 cubs and Mom..the bears are really increasing in population...the cams were in Almond
