Again, the receipt you get from paypal is your registration. You will not get anything from the red cross. Just print your paypal receipt and bring it with you if you weigh in a fish. The receipt # is your registration #. [ Post made via Android ]

Hey Pete! I was actually at my parents house in Gorham getting the boat ready for fishing trip to Henderson Harbor when that storm came thru. It was the most amazing storm I've ever seen! We could seen it coming down the hill and it was like a wall! It hit with 1/4" hale and winds and rain so strong you couldn't see the road 100 foot from the garage, and it lasted about for at least 5 minutes. As for the fish, I've been driving and my dad has been catching all the big ones. So far He's caught 16 and 12lb brown back to back, a 10lb bow, a 9 lb landlock and a 12 and 10lb laker! So far, a great year!

hooked up with Brad a LOU memeber this morning that is From New Jersey while on vacation at his parents house on the lake, to give him some help with a Salmon or 2. We meet at the Chamber at 5:30, made a short sun south of Belhurst and set on a south troll. Within 10 minutes we had our first fish on the rigger 25 down over 75, ended up being a 18 inch salmon. Steady marks in the 15-35 foot range but just could not get another hit on the riggers. We had steady action on 1 dispey that caught 7 lakers with 1 topping 10lbs and the rest from 5-8 lbs. dipsey out 180 with white sd/white fly. tried to match that set up but no takers on the riggers. These fish fought like crazy and each one needed a few minutes of reviving before they would take off. We spent half of our time turning around, pulling lines and sitting in neutral to revive these beauties, all but 1 was successfully released. Back at dock at 10:30. Sorry Brad that we couldn't get those fish in the top 35 to go.

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):6/24, 6/25, 6/26 Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves:calm, 2-4, 3-5 Surface Temp:66 Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 50ish Total Boated: 30 something Species Breakdown: browns, 1 laker, 1 coho Hot Lure: stinger Trolling Speed: 2.5-3.0 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 60-70 Lure Depth: 55-65 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Took family trip to Henderson for the Weekend. First time on the big lake in about 20 years. Wanted to catch a walleye and a king. Ended up not catching either but did have great success with the browns. Ended up finding bait and fish on the high banks towards Stoney point. Friday afternoon we fished from 2-7 and ended up with 7 browns in the 5-7lb range and a 9lb laker. Took us about 2 hours to figure it out but it was game on from then. Sat morning was greeted by a west wind and waves at 2-4. Fishing was hot all morning till we headed in at 10:30 with the catch of the weekend, a 16.4 lb brown. Did I mention that it was just me and my stepdad, an 18' lund, heading into the wind w/2-4's, 3 good runs, and 3 missed netting attemps before it hit the floor of the boat! Sat afternoon we picked up back up where we left off with non stop action from 1-5 before heading in for dinner with the family. Sunday morning action was hot again till we quit at 10 to end our trip. the waves on sunday were 3-5 but the fish were bigger, We caught 3 over 10 with one 12 and several in the 8-9lb range. We fished the same area all weekend, 60-70 fow, riggers at 55 and 65 and dipseys at 165-200. Any nk or stinger w/gold back. can't wait to get back, the fish on the fingers don't fight like that!

Took my 2 1/2 year old daughter out for a couple hours. Left the dock at 7:45. and started jiggin over some fish and bait south of German bros. Spent 1/2 with no takers started trolling with dipsey out 185 and rigger at 35. Was trying to fine tune my idle to slow the boat as slow as it will go while we were trolling and it stalled. Tried to restart quickly and flooded it. We were going with the wind so just decided to leave lines in the water. After 15 minutes finally got it started. Started to turn arou.d and head south when the rigged popped, pulled down to the water and stay. After fighting fish, turning boat into the waves, keeping daughter occupied, and tightening the drag on the dipsey that started to rip line out I landed a 31" laker. Released fish and brought in the dipsey to find another dandy, released this one on the side or the boat, looked to be at same size or bigger. Turned around and reset, hit the same spot on the gps and landed a 27" laker. Turned around and picked a small brown out the same hole. Daughter wanted to go home, back at dock by 11:00. 6/19 - went by myself. Tried different spot little further south than sat. and jigged for first 45 minutes with no followers or hits. Found lots of suspended fish in the 60 fow. Set up with dipsey at 135-150 and rigged at 45. Ended with 4 rainbows between 21 and - 24", and 4 lakers, one Big rainbow that took 30 ft of line twice before making a third run that broke the line right behind the boat. Back at dock at 8am. Today was a day I wished I could of stayed all day, the bite was on! [ Post made via Android ]

If you can't read the leader board the wining fish were 15.6, 2nd 15.2 and 3rd 14.1. all lakers. the browns were 13.65, 2nd 10.10 and 3rd 9.25. the rainbows were 7.0 2nd 6.45 and 3rd 6.25. the lakers were 11.95, 2nd 11.4 and 3rd 10.75. We ended up with a good weekend finishing 2nd in the rainbow division. We flat out hammered the rainbows on Sat. with 11 rainbows caught and 5 over 5lbs. we also caught a nice perch on the boards and 6 lakers, biggest laker was only about 5 lbs. Sunday was a lot slower and fish moved south. We ended up with 2 smallies, 2 pickerel, 2 lakers and 3 rainbows. We had to move about 3 miles south before we found the bait and bows from Sat. most fish taken by spoons from 5-35 feet down over 35-90 fow. We again could not get the laker program going, but all the rainbows made up for it because each one put on an aerial show! Anglingdaddict, looks like we were fishing the same area from your picture. That area was loaded with some real nice bows!

I thought we had a decent derby, after placing in the past 3 derbies my crew just expects it now, so their hard to keep happy when were not catching bigger fish, so they thought it was a bad derby. after finding fish friday night, I decided to go to the spot I was at the previous weekend and found the fish weren't there. We managed 2 small landlocks and then headed back north of sampson in 25 fow and found the fish and bait. it was a steady pick of 4-5 pound lakers with a 5 lb rainbow. we ended up with 8 lakers, 1 rainbow and 4 salmon for the day. went to the same spot on sunday am with ended up with 4 lakers and 5 salmon. ran over to dresden and found a few more lakers. back to dresden monday morning and with 6 small salmon and lost at least that many. all fish were caught between 20-30 fow. tried deeper water but just couldn't get anything going. Monday a buddy was fishing the same water right in front of us,just a little shallower, and caught the 2nd place brown, I knew it was big from all the yelling going on! It was good meet a few of the guys friday night to put a face with the name, hopefully see some of you at the Red Cross on Seneca.

Right now I would try fishing your big board fairly close to shore with rapala's. this lake drops off so fast you can have boards in close and still be able to run set green rigs. I run in about 90-100 fow using dipseys or riggers and the boards on shore. just be careful of the bottom about 1/4 mile south of German brothers, comes up fast, keep your eyes on the graph. usual the end of may and first couple weeks of June are good on the north end. also another good spot is from Pelican Point Marina south past Camp Letournea down to the high banks. Again there is a big hump in front of the camp so keep keys on graph.

when this summer will you be staying? -
Got out on Seneca about 7am till 1:30 with my dad and a customer from work. fished the north end going 17 for 19. started out catching small 2-3 lb fished tried another spot north of sampson and found some bigger fish. We caught this 9.04 landlock off the board on a silver Pirate spoon, jumped completely out the water 5 times! was also released. Also landed several lakers in the 6-8lb range with 1 around 9 and another pushing 12lb. didn't have time for pic of laker, was afraid he wasn't going to make, but was also release after some reviving. lakers were taken off boards in close and the usual sd/fly combo. fished from 25 - 150 fow, didn't seem to matter depth or color, if we marked fished we caught em. Just wish that landlock would of waited one more week! can't wait to get down to Sampson Thurs!

our elected officials should be ashamed of themselves if nothing is done and the marina is shut down. These state parks are about the only places most of us can afford to go and take a vacation anymore. to lose lake access or docking would be a huge loss to this park and probably the demise. I've spent a lot of time in this park, especially hunting, actually shot my first buck with a bow there. It just makes me sick to see what they are doing, or should I say not doing, with our money to help OUR state parks. #127

We'll be there at site 336, camper and a blue lund. We won't we arriving till late morning friday so I'm not sure about "big fish friday". do like the idea though! -
Nice Job Kevin! I have a daughter that's just over 2 and whenever I get home from fishing she ask "were are they"! Where did you launch? We had better luck 2 week ago, same water other side.
-
Kevin, were heading down on Friday morning sometime. We are at a different spot this year (336). We should be out next weekend 5/15 out of the chamber.
-
Hey Kevin! We lauched at the chamber on Sunday. It wasn't bad, but at the end of the northern most dock is two sunken logs just under the water. I would use the south dock and back straight out about 20 past dock and then make your turn. Bring a pair of rubber boots too, the first part of the dock was a few inches under water. I would think there would be alot of crap in the state park canal. I need to find a way out, lots of Big fish are being caught! [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
