  1. There is really only one class. Pays the top 5 biggest fish and the biggest rainbow and the biggest brown. Any of the marinas on the lak should have entry forms, or least they have in years past. Grays bait shop on the pier, possible suttons spoons in naples. I also think that a few marinas in geneva have forms too. Weight in station are at the Inn On The Lake on the north end and the marina on the south end.
  2. we fished dresden to Kashong point the entire weekend, dont recall seeing your sportcraft either.
  3. what kind of boat due you have TK?
  4. The Canandaigua Derby is June 6th and 7th. Fishing is usually good and I think that the fish in that lake are mostly natural and very healthy looking. Some great bows in there too!
  5. That is an awsome bow! and so is the eye!
  6. Well we had a decent weekend with a 2nd place in the rainbow div. Great day on Sat with 30 something boated and several several lost due to not enough hands for the amount of rods with fish on. 2 times by 8am we had 4 fish on at once with only 6 landed, and 3 doubles and a few singles mixed in. biggest laker was just over 8 lb with a 7.8 that put pur fish time derby fisherman on the board for the day, he was on cloud 9 for the day! Blueghost we launched at the same time on Sat and I was pulling out right behind you on Mon. I was way to exhausted to talk and you were busy loading your boat. Anybody fish the dresden area, just wondering if I saw anybody else. Whos ready for the Canandaigua derby?
  7. hey blueghost, dont be catching all my fish before Sat! that so jealous of you guys getting down tomorrow.
  8. we had a situation with a still fisherman last year, samething catching fish trolling by, he was yelling, the boards were pretty close on our passes, so on the last pass I told him he should be in aw of my precison trolling, that got an fu!
  9. we will be launching out of there, but not staying. I would also like to meet some of the guys and tell some fishing stories, with beer in hand! DD I've got a blue lund with an i/o, can't miss it, i've never seen another one in the area. I don't have a radio, but if you see me at the launch say hey! Brett
  10. we were between 120-90 fow. I've never fished that deep during the past 3 years of the derby. Blueghost, have you been out? just wondering how much junk is in the water on the east side? last year we tried it for about an hour and had enough. I fished about two weeks ago on the east side around pump house it was loaded with seaweed, almost sunk my boards! we have also placed 3 out of 6 years, one brown, rainbow and a laker. miss last place in the laker last year by .01 of an oz. I actually get a kick of trolling inbetween still fisherman and catching fish, we usually have the radio turned up and they hate it! we just like to have a good time, and catch fish!
  11. Blueghost, last year we fished the same1.5 miles of shore for the entire weekend with 15-20 fish days. A little info for the depth, not the same as last year, much deeper! I don't think anybody will need help finding fish this weekend. with the temperature going to be warm this week, the fish will very active. I cant wait!
  12. Fished Seneca this morning, pre derby scouting! Fished from 8-11:30. we went 8 for 10. One fish 31", 2 fish 27" and the rest were 20-24. found the fish schooled up and had 3 doubles. we quit early, just to hard to fight the wind, keep the boat straight and fight 2 fish at a time. hope I have the same problem next weekend! The two we lost were either landlocks or rainbows, because they were breaking water.

  14. I've talked to a guy at bass pro about this same thing and he told me if I buy the line there, he will take the line off my reels and put the line on an empty spool, and then spool the reels with what ever I buy. then swap them when I want to put the flea flicker back on. I'm not sure the guys name, but he has a shaved head in the fish dept. I would love to just buy new equipment, just not an option right now.
  15. I'm already watching the clock at work, thinking about the derby. We'll be launching out of Sampson, blue and white i/o lund. Just look for the pirate flag and 3 guys having a good time! Good luck!
  16. Fished the north end of Seneca today. Got out around 7-:30 and fished to 11. Took my buddy and his 7 year son for his first trolling experience. We had a decent day 5 for 8. Biggest one around 6lbs. It's always great to take a kid fishing for trout the first time! He had a blast and reeled in all 5 fish. Fish we on the bottom and spin SD with small fly and NBK NK 28 also was the trick. Only 2 other boats and saw fish being caught on one boat going the same way but deeper.
  17. maybe it was a school of perch!
  18. the bait that shallow is a good sign for some great action this weekend! thanks for the info.
  19. what depth were you markng the bait?
  20. i'd either try the south end, east side right before the drop off. or go up to vine valley. north end, i'd try west side by the yacht club to the pump house. those places have worked for me this time of year. i've been seeing guys fish east side of the north end lately, but i think the fish have moved.
  21. have you ever fished for perch there before? where are you launching out of?
