i bought 3 new Cannons around that same time and had issues with all three, boards blowing and plug connections failing. Cannon would replace the boards but would be out a rigger while getting it fixed. These newer high speed riggers draw a lot of power i felt the wiring was not sized properly so i replaced all the wiring with heavier wire from the battery all the way into the the housing to the connections and made special adapters for the larger cord grip to seal where it goes through the rigger housing. I have NEVER blown another board again, trouble free for at least 10 to 12 yrs now. The original cannon cords/harnesses went to the garbage and my rigger headaches went away but the time and money spent on heavier cord was worth it.
