We where on the water at 5:30am and put hothead boat back on the trailer at 8:45pm. We covered a lot of water but managed to go 5 for 8! The morning started strong with a small king followed by a domestic rainbow and 20 lb king and then things shut right off for 7 hours. We took a double just before dark on 400 copper and a dipsy f/f. You always have to go on the side of caution out there. I have been out when it’s been a little bumpy and by the time I have gear picked up i have had a nasty ride in. I watch the wind and waves constantly. You can’t always get in before a storm blows up and I have had times where I motor 3 or 4 miles out of my way to find better water in tight to get back to the launch safely. We don’t always have that option. Good luck out there. If you have to question yourself about if it’s safe or not it’s best to wait for a better day.
