I did the same thing Tim. A new 19' Sea Nymph fish & ski, new to salmon fishing out of the Salmon River. My wife & I went out in 4 foot seas coming from shore while boats were coming in. Got about a mile out, rigged up and turned into them and started taking water over the bow and running to the back of the boat while the waves got bigger. I'll never forget it. My wife was crying for her mother. Was I scared, heel yea I was. That was the day I gained a huge amount of respect for Mother O. I don't care what size boat you have, when its time to come in, don't mess with Mother O.

If you have a short shaft or jet you should be able to get to the 2nd bridge. Most guys only troll to the 1st bridge

There were a lot of Bears around last year. I'd say I saw bears at least 10 times from my house. They damaged 2 of my pear trees. I caught these 3 out my kitchen window. -

I can tell you one thing. To have new stringers, bulkheads and a transom replacement is a minimum of 15k. I looked at a Rampage which is the same size and got 2 estimates and both were very close to each other. I got one estimate in Sodus and one a bit east or there. It's not cheap. If you find a Penn Yan that's been done already, your in luck.
