My reason for asking was to not make the mistake of going out & buying 6 of them and then find out they don't fit good.
Thanks again for the input.

Seems we wandered away from my question.
There was a problem with the OLDER Shimano downrigger reel seats not fitting the Daiwa line counter reels snugly. The reel would still rock back & forth when fully tightened.
Is there anyone with Shimano Talora rods with the Daiwa line counter reels mounted to them?
Or should I start popping the popcorn?
I bought a Humminbird 596c HD. It's not for sale but it works great. I have it on a 14' Starcraft that's used in an electric motor use only lake. It's color and has speed too. New ebay purchase, cost me $330 with shipping
I agree Sk8. Plus, the company should have the defective part shipped back to them to see where the problem is in any particular part. Not sure if they do that but they should. I know a lot of co.'s do

F*#&%@^G figures. Seems all these manufacturers are cutting corners, rather than using quality parts and just raising their price. I use 12lb weights so hope I'm good to go.
The first 2 pictures is my first attempt at painting lures with powder paint, by heating with a heat gun and then dipping them. It didn’t work out too well.
Then I watched this video. The guy used an art brush. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1TPCZqXrRY
Last 3 pictures are from my 2nd attempt and I’m satisfied with the outcome. Yellow is UV plus there's glow , alewive, white pearl, black and clear UV enhancer. The second and 4th picture has a UV light shinning on them.
The fish don’t know I’m not an artist
The lure is my homemade that I’ve been using for probably 10 years with consistent trout & salmon catches.
Something to play around with while waiting for the snow to melt.
