I hear ya Guppy. I just bought this boat 2 months ago and I'm going nuts because I can't rig it until spring. Got new Cannon's and a Fish Hawk, that was all it needed. I bought my first Penn Yan back in 92 in the fall also, so I needed to wait until spring for that. It felt like the night before Christmas when I was a kid but for 6 months I hope its a good year for all of us.

Did quit well on this pattern. Its UV chartruse atomic or purple taco, same stuff and the black is Holographic High Voltage Black, made by Montana Fly Co.. 4 green beads and 1 red bead. This is home made. I like my flies with a lateral line. Seems to make it look more real. I wasn't a believer in UV, well now I am. Here's a few I made 2 days ago, on the cardboard as they were drying

I agree Irg. The plastic around the lock looks like it could break easy. I'm not sure but I believe a lock from Walker downriggers would fit where the main bolt is. It looks like 1/4-20 threads. I have a walker lock, I should try it

I get the utmost pleasure trolling on Lake Ontario when it’s the middle of summer, its 95 degrees on shore, I’m in 600 feet of water on a south troll, its dead flat calm, the fish have stopped biting long ago, and then a tiny breeze comes across the lake from the north, carrying a nice cool 65 degree temperature. And whenever that happens, I always say “I love fishing Lake Ontarioâ€. And at that moment, catching fish doesn’t matter.

The black ones are sold, still have silver. The flat metal cam needs to be filed down to 3/4". Throw out the bent cam. These are keyed alike These locks fit mag 5st, mag 10stx, digitroll 5 and digitroll 10. one is already filed down but it may need to be filed a bit more. Its like a puzzle getting them in there but they work. The one on top is how it came. I have some with a silver face (not pictured) $12 for 2 shipped. Same deal, they need to be filed down.
