  1. The Otisco trip has been scratched. I told the wife about the pwc's and ski boats and she said, why go there if we can stay home, save money on gas and go to our local lake and have the same thing. So now my guess is we're going to Oneida, which is even closer to Oswego. Never boat fished that either but I imagine I'll find fish.
  2. Guess I'll look for that pontoon boat?
  3. I think that accounts for most pwc owners. I get it all the time. They'll drive by my inlines 10 feet away and think nothing of it. The lake I fish is done at about 11am. Then the $h@t hits the fan.
  4. ok, Thanks Cap. I believe its bigger than the lake I fish downstate, 9 mile shorline. And lots of jetskis & speed boats.
  5. WooHoo, can't wait to check out my first Fingerlakes fishing trip. I finaily figured out that its close enough to Oswego for a day trip. I promise not to catch them all.
  6. 4 of the new rods are sold, pending payment. Two left
  7. Could be a soft mud spot or a spring
  8. If the camper leaves the site, any add-ons will need to be removed. I know because I have a camper there.
  9. I fish out of Oswego but won't be around there until the 4th (I think). Otherwise I'm a zip code 12780
  10. Yes, that's the one. A have a bunch of this color. It was good for browns, back in the day

    Otisco?

Is only 22 about miles southwest of Syracuse?
  12. If you'd like to build your own, click on the file. Hope this works planer board plan (2).doc
  13. As my wife and I were trolling a medium sized lake this past weekend, she was saying "Ah, that's why I love fishing, we're living in the moment when we're fishing and without a care in the world". The next minute she's pi$$ing and moaning about the damn boat getting too close to our boards. They think nothing about driving 20 feet away from the boards. Appearently, they don't know what they are
  14. Yea, big difference cutting out the lateral line. I fry mine in a beer batter. Anyone have anything better as far as batter goes?
  15. You mean those Bombers from the 90's? I used them for trout trolling
  16. Maybe that's why I'm not catching a lot of fish. I'm only back 15 feet from the ball, but I'm catching fish. Guess I'll try setting the lures back farther
  17. Think I need to try the top water thing. Sounds interesting at least
  18. Agree 100% on that. And yes, the only white meat. Only thing, I like to eat them right away, rather than put them in the freezer. Last season, I forgot about a few, what a waste
  19. If you don't like the price, make an offer
  20. The Salmon craze is nearly over for me (fished for them since 1992) and I've switched over to more Walleye fishing than Salmon. Don't get me wrong, Salmon fishing is still fun and all but it just seems that more & more people are Walleye fishing these days. And to tell the truth, I love it! And I eat a few also, unlike the salmon, I might smoke one or two each year
  21. I see that! Good for you guys. I fish Sullivan county for eyes and there's nothing special about them.
