  1. A bad canopy or floor, bolters, etc is ok but once things start happening with the hull, I don't see where it worth messing with. Plus if aluminum was in salt, I'd run the other way. If you can find something near the big lake, chances are it wasn't in salt. I have two boats. One is a 19' Sea nymph. A great boat for trailering. Great for inshore brown's & Walleye. Want to go for Salmon, pick your days. They make one in 17" too
  2. LongLiner from Cortland NY phone # 607 749-3545 Harry's Bait (now closed" tackle shop right on the Oswego river where the guys fish Walleye used to sell his jigs.
  3. I was thinking the same thing. Raise the weight limits on all fish except Chinooks, since they're put and take. And have Lakers, upper slot only.
  4. Think I might need new batteries for the boat this season. I have Interstate but they’re not cheap. Anyone use the Everstart Marine battery from Wal-Mart?
  5. I remember like it was yesterday. Mid September 1988, 2AM. A bunch of us hicks from Sparrowbush NY headed to Pulaski (back then it was Pulaske) , ready for bear with our newly purchased broom handle fishing rods and $10 reels loaded with 14lb test green mono and huge weighted Mustad treble hooks (and I still have them) . We arrived at the Salmon River about 6 in the morning. Headed over the bank, only to see NO WATER flowing. WOW bummer.... At that point we all headed in different directions, except a friend and I headed to Port Ontario where the river meets the lake. We cast for an hour or so and I snagged one Coho and that was it. We had about 6 hours left, so we went west to the Oswego river. When we arrived, it was nothing but fishermen, elbo to elbo. So we squeezed our way in and started casting. I ended up with my first King Salmon, snagged just behind the head. Man was I proud, even though it was black as hell. Took it home, smoked it, ate it and been coming back ever since but with a boat.
  6. If there's any interest call Don (owner of boat) at (631) 765-1513
  7. But you never know until you look and ask those questions. It looks mighty clean. I know a few charters out of Oswego that bought Yans that were in salt and so far so good. Only thing I don't like about this model is there's not much storage down in the cabin and you'd need to be less than 6 feet tall to stand under the hardtop without hitting your head. I looked at one a few years ago, a huge fishing platform but those 2 items turned me off. If it was a C-Stalker, I'd be looking at it.
  8. That's why a survey is woth every penny

  18. MAKE OFFER I guess anything goes now… appliances, TV’s! Oh, I have some snow for sale too! DUH... What happened to fishing stuff. Or is this a new loulist? If so, we need more categories
  19. And that would be 12/21, a day before your post
  20. First of all, we live in a society that is so diverse that nothing is 100% and stuff is going to happen, no matter what. Other than confiscating all fire arms (and that’s not going to happen, I hope), things that would greatly help are: 1; Educate gun owners that need to know the what, how and where. Mainly, keep your fire arms in a gun safe or use trigger locks. Especially if you know there are unstable individuals living in your household. 2; Cut down on violent movies, violent video games and even violent reality shows. 3; Put real cops with scary looking guns in the schools. A scary looking gun makes a difference. You know they mean business. Like I said before Government offices have armed guards, why shouldn’t schools? Taxes will go up but oh well. The good old days are long gone. Remember the lyrics from the song by Tim McGraw “Back When When a screw was a screw , when a hoe was a hoe, a Coke was a coke…

  22. That's what I was told also. When you think its almost done, take it out. I'm doing 4 pounds in my smoker as I type.
  23. Auto firing/loading guns are illegal and not available to the general public.
  24. If the United States constitution didn’t have the 2A in place, I believe this country would be named New England. What country would be dumb enough to invade a country where MOST households have guns. Believe it or not, that's why the 2A was put in place. Armed guards is the future. Watch and see!
