  1. I SEE YOU HAVE OLD PAL HOLDERS ON THE GUNWHALES. HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM? I HAVE FOUR BUT I'M JUST NOT TOO HAPPY WITH THEM
  2. I'm thinking about buying some. Someone sold a few a while back. Did you not like them? Any other comments from others that use them? Thanks guys Greg p.s. Saw this Yote running around my back yard a few days ago and thought I'd share the pics.
  3. I guess nobody checked the calendar when they planned for the LOC, with Walleye being one of the prize categories
  4. Is Walleye season open during the LOC?
  5. Tom Here's a camper in Twin Pines http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/rvs/2304087408.html
  6. Any antique baitcast reels? I'm a collector
  7. Wonder how old it was
  8. Here’s a few things that originated on the leftcoast. Some of the main stuff we use on the GL was invented on the west coast. Stuff like Salmon Flashers, Cutbait heads, Cutbait rigs, Dipsey Diver, J-plugs. I'm sure everyone knew that though Ever visit www.ifish.net
  9. I like the rod rack. What is it connected to, to hold it where it is? The shelf?
  10. Nice ones! What was the flavor of the day?
  11. Labor Day there were at least a dozen boats in there. Could you imagine how the people after paing 5 or 6 hundred bucks felt, trolling in a harbor? But I guess, if that's all that's available for fish. As Jimmy Hattrick calls it "Washing Windows"
  12. The hot fly for me was the Shredded Hammer. Most of my fish came on this with the Chartruse Tri Flash or Glow/Green Dot spiny in front of it. The Brad's cut plug did also catch fish. I believe it was Bertha that stole one of my Black Jack colored Brad's cut plugs. Next year I'm going to 40lb leaders for these, when I buy the unrigged packs. I also bought a hot spiny that I didn't get a chance to use. It was called both either the Tom Jones or Pig Pen (sold at Port Ontario Tackle). According to a few friends, hooked up to the Shredded Hammer it was hot!
  13. Just watched the show. Great Job Capt. Dan & Son Dan! That last BT was huge
  14. This was at the International Marina, during the big blow
  15. Outdoor Channel Will Feature Oswego Fishing Charters OSWEGO - Two local charter captains will be featured this month on the Outdoor Channel Outfitters television network. Capt. Dan Coleman and his Strike King Charter will be the featured outfitter Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday, Sept. 6, 7, and 11. Capt. Greg Gehrig and Top Gun Charter will be featured Sept. 20, 21 and 25. The segments air at 9 a.m. Mondays, 11 a.m. Tuesdays, and 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays. A film crew from the Outdoor Channel network spent several days in Oswego County in early July, fishing for trophy-sized salmon and trout on Lake Ontario. Both boats are based at Wright's Landing Marina in Oswego.
  16. Thanks Tom See you guys on the water. I sleep in, so it'll be after 9am. That's when the biguns bite but don't tell anyone! 17 days of relaxation on Big O Come on Bertha
  17. ok Tom If you have a minute, what shops in the Oswego area carry the LOC fly, the #41, 102 & 119? Less time searching for these makes for more time for me on the water. Thanks again, your stuff is the Best! Greg
  18. I hope so because I hate being fisrt, as then there is nothing to look forward to Greg
  19. First Tom, I'd like to say thank you for the quick service you provide. I ordered materials and had them in hand in less than 2 days. Can't ask for more. Now I need to know which fly or two is going to be hot for the next two weeks? I have a date with a 42lb Salmon. Her name is Bertha. She's a little larger than I'm accustomed to but she sure is purdy
  20. Wait til next week. They all come out of the woodwork during the LOC.
  21. Not pessimistic, but the statistics just haven’t been showing a fish over 40lbs. How many years will it be before we see another 40lber? I believe the best greatest affect would be very mild winters with very little baitfish die-off. Then, who knows. Time will tell
  22. You guys are dreaming. Lets get real here, 42 or 44 pounds? Sure a 40lber was caught mid July of this year, was it a 5 year old fish?, anything is possible. How many other 40lbers did you hear about so far? A safe bet would be 38+ pounds. Just trying to keep it real Cheers
  23. Hey Dave! Did you fish the ELOSTA Derby this year?
  24. Anyone try these for Walleye?
