Looks like you're one of the few people who got to fish with that high flow. I always enjoy your videos, I've seen them on youtube for a couple years now.
thanks for sharing
I can't wait that long,,, I'm hoping for at least 2 winter trips. Come May I'll be drifting and trolling from Newburgh to Kingston chasin those stripes.

I posted this over in the trib section, but thought I'd share it here too. It was a great fall with lots of fish and lots of happy dances. Kept one for the wall and one for the table this season. The rest are still swimming for you guys to catch, or get bigger and for me to catch next time I make it out west.
enjoy and say a prayer for the victims in CT
The Saturday before fathers day my friends and I rent out a charter for 20 guys and go out for stripers and blues every year. This for me marks the end of spring and the beginning of summer. This spring was been one of the better springs I've had in the last few years. I got into a little bit of everything. I promised myself this year that if the world was going to end in 2012, I was going to get out and fish as much as I possibly could. I've stayed true to the end of the world pledge and put in some time on the water. I've had my share of skunks, but I've had some days to remember too. Here is a look back at my spring, from St Patty's day to Fathers day.
Enjoy

we didn't hit the bar until midday on Saturday and it was so foggy we had a hard time finding the right drift. These next few weeks should be great if the water stays good.
I was out there too with a few buddies. The bar was pretty slow. We got a few on the bar and a couple browns trolling the shore, but the river was hotter. We got the majority of our fish in the river on emerald shiners. Sacs pulled some fish too, but they were definitely locked in on all the minnows in the area. Incredible weather, saturday was crazy with all the fog on the lake.
I agree with the advice of slightly dragging bottom. You can suspend your bait if that's what your electronics are showing you, but I've done better touching bottom.
thanks for the report

I'm heading back to the Lower Niagara in 10 days and I'm getting pretty pumped up. Here's some video from last fall. My camera crapped out after day 1, but I assure you the next 2 days were just as good. No fancy editing, just fishin and fun : ) Fishing the Niagara with Capt Merk is like happiness only better
