  1. This was my 3rd year attending both the school and the show. It's amazing how it's growing. Hat's off to LOTSA and all volunteers involved with this event. LOTSA is hands down the best club I've ever been a part of. Jerry, Bob, and Russell were outstanding. Their passion for the sport was obvious throughout the class. Lance Valentine's sonar class was also a "must attend" event. It was eye opening to say the least. Great job LOTSA.
  2. To the original post...try a sharpie or bright fingernail Polish to mark wire. I picked some of the steel up at the show also. Just wish I would've seen the u tube video 1st. Would've done the 200 not 300. Sinks the same...why waste the room on the reel. I wonder if anyone ever tried the wire backer trick on regular copper? My guess is it'll sink the same as the weighted steel. I'm thinking 1000 ft wire and 200 weighted steel should fit on a saltist 50 or tekota 800 or similar size reel. 3. Raymaeine and simrad both make a tiller pilot designed for sailboats. They also work on kickers and run well under $500. No gingerbread but will keep you on a straight line. Rays is the st1000 or 2000. Planning on adding one to my 19 ft this spring. Read about it on hull truth a few years ago. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. New used for display Simms g3 women's extra large waders. $175. I will be a lotsa show or will ship at buyers expense. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. Fyi...Midway USA has a sale on browning strike force hd for $99. Not affiliated in any way, just passing along information. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. If you aren't in a hurry to purchase watch ebay and all major retailers. Cabelas just had the new strike force elites for $80. Trailcampro.com is best places to buy for warranty. They give a 90 day return and 2 year warranty on all regular price cameras. They also test all cameras and post results. I generally buy from them unless someone has a great sale or I have cabelas coupons. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Fruit trees last a long time for the initial investment. Also a good supplement to nearby agriculture. I'd make a small opening between bedding and corn with 6 or so mixed apple and pears. Something sweet tasting on the way to and from feeding will be a magnet. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Mine are all secured with python locks. Knock on wood....only had 1 stolen in 10 years and he cut the cable off...it was on posted land. Haven't had much issue with the camera bothering matures....but have noticed them shy away from areas I check often. Poor judgement on my part not being scent free I think. 10. I run cameras 365 days a year. Most brands I've run last about 2 years before issues start. My most recent cameras have been problem free for 2 years now so thought I'd share with lou friends. Browning strike force have been the best for me. The only issue I've seen is when battery life is below 50% I start getting black pics at night. Fresh batteries resolve the issue. What do you guys run? And how reliable are they? I've had bad luck with Bushnell, hco, covert, and Moultrie. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Nice buck Dan. Congrats and great job hanging in there. Been a tough year for you bud. Glad to see you connected. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Planted a small plot with wheat, oats and turnips about a month ago with no fertilizer. Second year for this spot and does are in it daily. Planted it for rut hunting. You can't go wrong with apples or pears in any of your plots. I'd put a couple around your stumps so you don't tear up roots when plowing in the future. 14. So dude, you have 9 posts since 2010 and half of them are bashing this derby? Why? Most of us try to post useful information once in a while to help others catch fish....kinda why this forum got started. All you seem to do is complain about a derby you probably didn't enter. We get your drift, you don't think this particular derby is your cup of tea. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Thanks for putting this together Troy. We won the grand prize and steely and we're thrilled with the prizes. I didn't realize hot much meat was there until we broke it down to freeze. 72 packs should last us the season. Playing hookey will be in every event you put together! Glad to see you got a weigh station on the west end...much more convenient for us. Hopefully we'll put a couple more fish on the board in the next round! BTW I simply called my order in to Dreamweaver to redeem certificate. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. We fish all three every year and am always curious how many entries there are. My invoice number for the spring was over 21000. Are there that many people entered? Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. You guys are on top of your game for sure. It was a tough bite for most. We struggled to box 3 each day.
  23. bumped the old thread "nasty snag" so you can get the co ordinates.
  24. rv site is abcmotorhome.com , sorry. I second the seward boat trip...how many opportunities do you ever get to see whales? Pretty awesome when they surface right by your boat. We did a 7 day glacier cruise from Vancouver to Seward...then the train from Seward to Anchorage...then 7 days in the camper. Some of the best days of my life.
