  1. Since it is already installed, hook it up and give it a try. If not, then on to Plan B.
  2. Thanks for the report. Got the boat out of storage today. Will be out there soon!
  3. Nicely done Pike Hunter! We were out on the east side of I-bay and only took a little 3 lb brown. We did go over to the Genesee River but trolled east following a decent temp break with no action. So close, but yet so far away!
  4. I noticed that too, so i dug up a letter i got at the recent boat show from the Coast Guard Aux.: Here is the wording of the new law: No Owner or operator of a pleasure vessel less than 21 feet, including rowboats, canoes, and kayaks shall permit its operation, between November first and May first, unless each person on board such vessel is wearing a securely fastened US Coast Guard approved wearable personal floatation device of an appropriate size when such vessel is underway. Failure to wear a life jacket on such vessels will be considered a violation under section 73-c of the Navigation Law and is punishable by a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $100, applicable to either the operator and/or the owner of the vessel.
  5. It might also be your transducer picking up turbulance (air bubbles).

  7. What is the lure of choice when perch fishing in the Bay? How big do they get?
  8. Thanks for the report! See ya out there in the AM. Steve COW BOY
  9. Nice pictures! What VHF channel do you monitor when you are out? I am also at Mayars and am getting back into the Big Lake fishing after living in NH for 12 years. A lot has changed since then and it is a chore to catch up. I enjoy this site tremendously - thanks for setting it up. I was wondering about the name, but now it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the tips and we will probably see you out there this weekend! Steve 22' GradyWhite Seafarer COW BOY
