I had the same thing happen. Small crack developed and battery compartment was about half full of water. I called them up and explained the situation on a Monday, and I had a new probe in hand by Thursday fully under warranty. I then had to put the old probe back in the box and affix the new shipping label and mail it back to them. Excellent customer service from my experience....

Wanted 12lb Downrigger Balls
AnglingAddict replied to knowfish's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
I have a couple that have never been used....rolled around on the floor so there is a little scuffing on them. Basic balls with black rubber coating and 12 lbs. each. If the other guy doesn't have what you want hit me back and we can talk.... -
I would rather have surface speed than probe depth for the help of identifying currents as one assumes that speed at the transducer measures speed the same as at the probe. SOG from GPS isn't helpful as a replacement for the surface speed. If you don't have too much blowback you can turn up the gain and see where your riggers are tracking anyways with the regular X4.

It's likely accesible from the splashwell in the back. If you unscrew access panels in the back you 'should' notice a pump which is right on the opposite side of the transom from the inlet for the livewell. There should be a couple thru hull fittings back there. One for a washdown pump (on the newer fishmasters), one for the drain plug, and the other for the livewell. There should be a pump right near that thru-hull fitting and in line with the hose that feeds the livewell....Hope that helps.

Sold / Closed Two Shimano Tekota 700s (Used)
AnglingAddict posted a topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
Have two Shimano Tekota 700 reels for sale. One is almost brand new, and the other is definitely in used shape, although functional. Pics will show the boat rash on the one reel. Drag is in great shape on the both reels, but clicker is a little weak on the more used reel. Asking $240 for the pair. shoot me a PM if interested. Prefer local pickup in Baldwinsville NY. -
No longer for sale.

Seeking tips on Canandaigua North end
AnglingAddict replied to genEus's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
With light winds predicted you should be fine to head south from the north end. The first major dropoff headed south will be in the area of the pump house which is on the west shore a little ways south of the yacht club. Start in 65-70 feet of water if you are looking for lakers. [ Post made via iPhone ] -

Saturday morning we started out at 5am and started hitting fish on the north end right away. Pretty much everything we had out took some shots. Dialed them in pretty good and ended Saturday morning 24 for 31 and off the water by around 11. A mix of Lakers and Rainbows....nothing really too big except for the one my wife weighed in. Weighed in at 11 pounds and change. Went back out in the afternoon for a couple hours and picked up some more...I think we landed another 9 for the few hours in the afternoon....a few lakers in the 7 pound range, but they all went back in. Spoon bite in the morning which sort of transitioned over to a flasher/fly bite deeper mid to late morning which got really hot. Sunday morning we started out in the same area with the same program as the day prior. The screen wasn't nearly as good as the day before, so we started searching. Ended up picking up and making a run and started working some bait balls around 7:30am....only way we could get fish to fire was to work around the bait on Sunday. Very tough bite for us. Went 11 for 12 Sunday morning. We lost a giant brown that was probably over 12 pounds...so that sucked, but you can't win them all. All spoons on Sunday. Never moved a wire diver with flasher/fly Sunday through mid-morning, so I swapped the wires out for slide divers with spoons...which bought us a couple more fish. Never went back out in the afternoon as we were tired. Left Baldwinsville both mornings at around 2:45 am to get to Canandaigua and rods in by 5:00 am. Picture of my wife's 11.06 pound Laker that wound up earning her 3rd overall and $500 which I'm sure she already has spent LOL! I thought maybe she would share the proceeds with the net man! Anyways a great couple mornings of fishing. Ended the weekend 44 for 54. Mostly lakers followed by some rainbows and a couple small browns. Hot lures were regular sized Stingers in green dolphin and black widow. Yeck copper muffin also did some damage. For flashers and flys, pretty much just ran green gator spinny with hypnotist fly on one side and a davey jones chip with a UV green crinkle fly on the other diver....only two combos we ran there....

My wife finished in 3rd overall with an 11.05 pound Laker. I will post pics and a derby report later this evening. [ Post made via iPhone ]

Was on Keuka Thursday, Friday, and Saturday...fished about 7-8 hours each day and landed over 70 lakers for those 3 days combined. Non-stop action each day. Pretty easy fishing right now. Fished shallow in the morning and then moved deep as the sun came up. [ Post made via iPhone ]

I give up catch22. I have PM'd you twice and left you two messages, and you have been on this forum several times since those messages were sent. If you make it this difficult to buy $25 worth of stuff you don't even have to ship you will never sell that Baha of yours...just sayin'. [ Post made via iPhone ]

Here's a video I made of some brown fishing a few weeks back. Enjoy!
