  1. I'd launch and dock at Mike's marina. It will fit your needs for a couple days. Pine Grove is shallow, but you can dock at the marina at the end of the river. I wouldn't use his launch though as there was a big drop there at one time on the end of the ramp.
  2. I run 5 hrs. from Ct every week, store my boat there and have a seasonal campsite. I'm up at least 3 days every week during the season weather permitting. And I happen to live 40 minutes from the Sound, and have only fished it a handful of times in my lifetime.
  3. I have them come to the house house about every 2nd year, and if I happen to see them working the launch I'll have them check me out then in the off years.
  4. There's a couple storage places just outside of town towards Fulton.
  5. I agree. I have too many flies on board to remember the names, but I tend to remember the ones that get hit consistently and use them the most. If they don't produce, I'll switch them over to the other side rigger before I completely go to a different one, and go back to them for the next day.
  6. Count yourself as fortunate when you lose it.
  7. They sell a roll up setup for pool covers. Kinda like this one. If you google retractable pool covers you'll see all kinds and prices. https://bestchoiceproducts.com/products/swimming-pool-cover-reel-21-ft-aluminum-inground-solar-cover?gclid=CjwKCAjw75HWBRAwEiwAdzefxO5FaVdQbYMGxxJJyAUjMKPVV6DG9srcjsc-PYcMXeHkblhptXDu2xoC8dAQAvD_BwE
  8. This guy has a ton of them https://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/threads/little-cleo-flutter-spoons-for-down-rigger-trolling-nos.609235/
  9. I have them, bought a set used off Craigslist. They've been very good to me for almost 10 years now, and who knows how old they were before I bought them. I remember when I went to Screwy Louie's to pick up some heavier balls 2 years ago, the 1st thing he asked me was what kind of downriggers I had. I was looking at the 16# torpedos and he told me the Scotties would have no problem bringing them up, and he was right. The only thing that has gone wrong with them in the time I've had them was 1 of the mechanical counters broke while I was out once, again, Screwy Louie's had the part on the shelf, so if you need something it's readily available.
  10. I know when I crank my Scotty's from the deep my 9.9 Honda 4 stroke will slow down some, especially when the auto pilot's on. I'd go for the biggest charging output you can find. Bigger's always better.
  11. I use one of these to hold my 2 Black Betty rods with the reels attached. Nice way to protect them and light weight. Free Bump
  12. How about putting some aluminum tape they use on duct work on the holes?
  13. I use a light weight Carhartt rain suit I picked up in the Cabela's Bargain room
  14. You had me until I read about having to replace the counters when the battery dies.
  15. Ludington Special and Black Ice for spoons Black and Silver Rebel Jointed Plug
  16. Someone posted a pic on here from Mexico. The lake looked knarley, but the launch was doable.

    X4 TO X4D

Right, and the X4D Display and X4D probe can be used with the X4 wiring and X4 transducer.

    X4 TO X4D

That's what I did when I switched. The new owner got everything new but the X4 screen and the probe
  19. I sent you a PM. I'll be gone for the holidays starting tomorrow. If you want them, I'll take them with me and send them out on Wednesday.
  20. Everything except the VK Flashers.
  21. A-Tom -Mik Crazy B***h was my go to.
  22. I run Deep Sixes all the time. They pull the same as a Dipsy, but they aren't directional.
  23. I haven't been able to get any content from LOU for over a week. The site wouldn't load with just an error message. The withdrawals have been terrible.
