Wow never seen anyone target them. Very cool. Where do you find them? I'm guessing this is all C&R right?
-
Awesome job. I'm yet to break the 20 mark in one day. Are there any good luanches on the east side of the lake? I'm thinking I might try it this year. Good spots to fish?

Thanks alot justin. Had a great time and I know dad enjoyed himself. Got to put my own order in to BW now. Should have the new riggers mounted and running by next weekend. Start a new system for the S/C cup.

Jason if I could hit'em like you i'd be tired too. Justin is taking me soon.

Nice too hear a good report for the south end. We should have stuck to it instead of going north. At least catch those off fish. A few real good LL's this year too. Great job!

Great job on the fish. We marked fish but couldn't get anything to fire. I saw you out there, it was me on the radio. We fished from 9:30 - 1:00 and didn't do as well 2/4 both good lakers though. lemon ice S/d,and Green Dolphin S/D. I think we were running to deep, down 80-90 ft over 120-140 Fow. I'll know better next time. Still learning that part of the lake. Did you see the chopper out by the base, and the real low fly over?

Justin, This link wil show you how to tie a nail knot. Thats the best way. I use it for floating fly line too. http://www.fishdoctorcharters.com/templ ... ctor=video Other good vids there too

great job guys. I know he couldn't do it without ya jason. I'm hoping to maybe go along sometime. And pick up some of those tricks. Was that the pole dancer holding the fly rod.

Had a 1998 F150 with the 5.4 extended cab XLT. Never a lack of power or comfort. I ran 33" tires and getting 12mpg. So I sold it when gas hit $4.50 a gallon. (40min commute one way to work) If I had my boat then, I would have kept the truck. My 16ft hauls nicely with a 4.0l explorer but I still miss the truck. Soon I hope to replace it, but I just bought a house.

That isn't the knot I was using but it is now. FLXTroutman pointed out a video on Fishdoctorcharters.com that was great for tying that knot.

Fishing is supposed to be a way to get away and relax. Too many people start fights over a recreational activity. I don't start fights about kicking people out of my hole, I take it in stride and fish a lesser hole. The day I start getting stressed out by fishing I wil sell all my rods. There are cheaper ways to get pi$$ed off. One major reason I don't fish the main river.

Its a shame that we as americans even have to worry about things like this. Let alone a veteran. Our police force needs to focus on violent crimes. Leave the life jackets and seatbelts to those with common sense. All fisherman need to stick together and protect our own. Any fisherman could have stepped in. I would for the next guy and would expect the same in return. As citizens we need to police ourselves as big brother is not always (never) there when you need them. Someone should pay these guys a visit. Get well soon Bill. Hope to see you on the river this fall.

That last laker is unique. I don't catch the numbers you do. Do you see alot with spots like that? It is pretty cool looking.

Are you using the tounament tie? Huge difference in hookups.

Can't wait, I like watching the pleasure boaters launch. Most can't back a trailer, Half the boats won't start, they forget drain plugs, even seen one float away. Loading can be just as fun as watching you. The ones I feel bad for are the wives and childeren with a$$hole fathers yelling and screaming like its thier fault.

Thanks for that info jimski2. I think this setup will work for me as I spend 95% of my time on the fingerlakes. Maybe a trip or two to ontario. Can't get too far with that little 40horse.

Use a snatch block. It gives mechanical advantage but it sounds like there is another problem. Clean the boat out it will ride higher and pull easier. I may even have a home for any unwanted gear.

I too notice the lack of jackets, they must all have large boats. $25 that's 2 S/D and flies I wouldn't give that up. I bought inflatables for my dad and I this year. they fit well over a large coat and so small you forget your wearing it. Although the warning says not intended for temps less than 40 F. They inflate slower in cold temps. I'm glad I read the Warning on this one. Atleast I know what to expect.

I picked up a cobra today $99 and a 3ft shakespear antenna $37 with swivel mount. Gotta be better than the handheld. Can't wait to mount it up and try it out. I'll report back. and hopefully be talkin to ya on the water.

I see alot of reports for today but didn't see that many boats. Where were you guys? I took the wife and my little brother out for good time today. We launched at 8:30 and were off by 1:30. My brother boated most of 12LL and 1 laker we caught. lost 4 others. He's only 10 so I pulled the dipsy rods. The LL were real good looking fish as 3 of them were around 4 lbs. the laker maybe 5lbs. Lemon ice S/D and green homemade fly took alot of fish. Along with hits on watermelon nk28, rainbow stinger, and NBK. Never caught a ll on a fly before. I was setting my second dipsy rod out when a rigger fired. I stopped the wire at 200 and forgot about it. Next we were hauling in a 4.5lbs LL. Usually I head for point and hope to find fish on the way. Today I found fish willing to play and stayed on them all day and paid off. Whats your thoughts on that? Don't leave fish to find fish, right? Hey, jason I thought we had a banner day till read your post. Thanks for stepping (stomping) on my self esteem. LOL You guys did great Where were you?
