I have been reading all the walleye discussion about Owasco for a while now. The DEC stopped stocking walleye in 2008 but they are definitely still in there. I have been walking the pier the last couple of nights with a flashlight looking for them and each night I have seen over 30 walleye. I fished opening night and got my limit in an hour in the river leading out of the lake. Here are some pics of opening night. Sorry for the poor quality as they were taken on my cell:

The narrows are north. The causeway is the south end. Saw one guy out there tonight. Close to shore. Not sure if it was due to the ice......

North end ice is 3 black inches plus 1 inch of white in some places. I saw guys out there yesterday. The Narrows is open water. BE CAREFUL!

Hey guys. I saw that there has been ice out of frontenac park in Union Springs for quite some time now. I am going to check thickness on sunday. Has anyone ever fished out of frontenac?

I've been trying to find out ice info on Otter. I know it is usually one of the first to freeze around here. I was hoping I could get out sunday. I tried calling Dan to see how conditions are but have yet to hear. Does anyone know?

AC Marine on York st in auburn sells fatheads, bass shiners and pike shiners. Just opened a couple months ago. Nobody knows about them yet. He will be carrying more kinds of minnows when ice rolls in. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

Hey guys. Was gonna try Skaneateles lake for perch tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone knows of any bait shops where I could get some fatheads. I thought bearwood was open year round but I went there the other day and they were closed til Christmas. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Sully

I was wondering if anybody knows anything about walleyes in Owasco lake. I was talking to a buddy and he said the population is declining because they swim into the seneca river. Is this true? If there are any walleye left, does anyone know where to find them in Owasco? Thanks for any replies!
