Tough weekend on the "Don't Tell Mom" boat this weekend. Caught a lot of shakers but had a hard time finding any big fish. We worked water from 70' to 400' and found a lot of fish down 40-50' just couldn't get them to go. The only fish willing to play with us were down in the ice water. Got lucky Sunday morning and got the first place Atlantic on mag dipsy out 200' over 350 fow. Congrats to all that made the board!!! Kyle Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

After listening to me whine for last two weeks about not fishing since Kade left for camp, my wife and daughter agreed to go fishing. Launched at Long Point around 9:00. A lot of trash on east side so ran across to Sheldrake and set up headed north. Worked 80' to 250' with best being in 150' range. Went 10 for 13. All Lakers except 1 short Atlantic. Marked a lot of bait and fish down 30' to 50' but couldn't get them to go. Everything we caught was down 60' to 100'. Had a great time and I think the girls enjoyed themselves too. Fleas seemed to get worse the farther north we went but not terrible. Kyle Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Thanks guys...I was starting to wonder if that prop was bad luck lol...Kade ended up with second place in junior...one proud young man. And I have to give him a lot of credit, he doesn't just ride along and reel fish in, he makes a lot of the decisions on our boat such as where to fish, lure selection, depths, etc, and does plenty of driving. I truly value his input and knowledge. We even argued a bit this morning cuz I wanted to use a different s/d fly set up...Good thing I gave in and went with his choice, that's what got him on the board. Yup...proud Dad!!!! Good idea Rollie!! Don't know why I hadn't thought of that. Kaden is in serious withdrawal at the moment...hasn't been fishing in two weeks. Aside from that, he's doing good...growing like a weed . Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Last weekend will be tough to beat...I know I won't forget it for a long time. At one point, we had 2 rigger rods in bottom of boat from a double, then tripled up all on dipsy rods, and just to make it interesting still had a 10 color core out down the chute. That would've been an interesting performance to catch on video! Managed to boat all 3 and no tangles. Still scratching my head...Kyle Sent from my ADR6410LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Sk8man- we only caught one fish all weekend with a lamprey on it, last year we were lucky to catch one without a lamprey on it. Great to see! Kyle Sent from my ADR6410LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Awesome weekend for B&B derby. Only our third time out in the "Don't Tell Mom" boat. We spent the weekend mid lake, determined that there was a big one there somewhere. We boated around 50 fish over the two days. Everything we put down caught fish. Nothing big enuf tho. Highlight of the weekend was a 6# bow this morning. Kade is exhausted...not sure if its from fighting fish or fighting Dereck for the rods. Fishing on Cayuga is only gonna get better next few years, we caught a lot of fat healthy 4# atlantics and bows this weekend. Congrats to everyone who placed! Can't wait to do it again next year!
