Thanks for the feedback guys.
Duke...those are the ones I have been using.
Stinger...what you said about spring vs. summer makes sense. We didn't drop many earlier this year. Last few trips we've dropped more than we've put in the boat. Gonna go without next couple trips and see if things improve. If not, may need to look for harpoon gun for Kade.

Good job Ed, glad someone was able to get 'em in the boat last night. We were perfecting the long distance release last night on Cayuga. Might have to take a closer look and make sure our lures have hooks on them.

Kade & I ran up after work. Set up right out front at T-Falls since it was rough and headed south with the wind. Got set up @ 6:30 and immediately took a shot on mag dipsy out 300'. Kade got it half way to the boat...gone. Had a swing and a miss on rigger at 90' a little while later. Had the other rigger parked at 60' but couldn't get it to go even tho fishfinder seemed to think all the fish and bait were between 60' and 70'. Wind finally died down some so we turned around and trolled back north. Got back in the area where we had first two hits and dipsy out 250' takes off. Dropped that one too. Picked up at that point and called it a night. Fish 3...us 0. I think I'm gonna take dipsy snubbers back off, we've dropped more fish this year using snubbers than I care to count. Last year without snubbers, I never even gave it a thought, if a dipsy rod fired, there was gonna be a fish in the boat. Oh well, always nice to get out on the water and see the excitement in Kade's eyes when a rod fires.
Almost forgot, fleas were still gone, and weeds were minimal.

Congrats on the win Andy!! We could not find any big fish, well, none that would stay on the hook anyway. Wish we could have hung around to meet everyone at the weigh in, but we launched at T-falls and Kade was sound asleep in the truck before we got down to Ithaca, so we just kept going. Next time!

Sounds like our day. We had a few good fish on that we lost behind the boat. Everything else was too small to do us any good for the tournament. We did donate one small laker that was hooked deep to Rollie.

I think we all started with hopes of not spending too much Sounds like you already got some good advice to get you started. All downhill from here! Oh yeah, welcome aboard!

A friend of mine, who is not a LOU member(he doesn't have a computer) might want in if that's OK. He may fish with us if his son can't make it to fish with him out of his boat. Won't know for sure until saturday.

Musta been the same laker we lost during B&B derby. Looks like we'll be up Sat afternoon. Not fishing the tournament, that way I figure we're sure to have a big fish day!

Weeds were spotty, just getting to the point of being a PITA. Enough clean water so you let your guard down, and then before you know it you see a big mat just as it cleans your rigger lines. Fleas were there too, but water was quite a bit warmer. Dad had a good time watching Kade perform, hopefully he will become a regular on our boat now that he's retired. And Kade now has a new saying..."This one's got some shoulders on him dad!!!"

Kade & I took my dad out yesturday from 8:00 - 12:30. Launched at T-Falls and headed north. We fished from boyscout camp north, accross to AES south down east side, back accross to T-falls and south to Myers. Real slow pick of scattered fish. The wind the past couple days stirred up the t-cline from thurs night. We ended up 6/7, biggest being an 8lb laker. Mag dipsys out 200', 260', and 280' took fish, and 60' rigger did a couple. Spoons and f/f both worked for us.
