  1. Ssswweeeet! And some good journalism .......!!
  2. Excellent...! Beer a-fish-ianados!...... must be about dinner time there now. What else do you get around there besides rainbows (if that is what they are)? .....And what's the favorite local brew; if it's an American or Canadian, ok, but I mean a good label from your area of the planet....so I might check it out myself... ?
  3. Lip Rippers..... Cool! Right on the lake.... how lucky U are (to me!). Used to live in Bath for about 4 years, and was always curious about the fishing there. Also knew somebody who lived on the lake there. She was a business acquaintance, and I don't even remember her name. Goodhue always intrigued me and it always seemed fairly shallow....I only fished it briefly from shore a couple of times and wished I could have gotten out there in a boat to get around and check it out better. Bass and maybe pickerel or pike I'm assuming. I like those small waters and the big waters. They all are good when you are hittin' em....Btw, from your video, Salubria looks fairly descent for the bass. Up to maybe 5 pounders or so? Also, saw that big black king when U initially posted it a while back. Awesome... !!
  4. Warmouths and greens are both here in New York. Neither of them are as widespread here as bluegills, pumpkinseeds, crappies and rock bass, but they are around. What's more, of course, warmouths are known to hybridize with greens, bluegills, crappie AND largemouths! (how's that for a date! ). Heck, they probably might successfully breed with any of the other sunfish family members in their immediate area. One thing is for sure... They can all be good after a trip to the frying pan!
  5. Say..... Looks as if, at least, U guys have lakes with actual water in them, rather than sand and salt like your folk's place next door! I mean Australia....I also like the way you folks have used "native" names for places around there, rather than boring English names From the video your area there reminds me somewhat of the Adirondacks region here in New York State.....Swwweeeeett !!
  6. Guess U gotta keep the lens dry from water.....if you want to be a real cameraman/directer.... ! Say were those bass shots at Lake Salubria? And, have U ever fished these small ponds....Goodhue Lake, Cranberry Pond, Demons Pond....? BTW, that "maybe a pound and a half" looked more like less than a half ! Keep posting those videos.....
  7. Make sure ya git the ol geezer (he's at least 85 or yerin old) that kinda makes his way down the road every 2 or 3 days, wit the wet pants, his regula bottle o' Old Yellowstone every now n then.....that could keep ya'll from gittin that ticket from the constable cause he's the judge's daddy.......er...grandaddy...Once ya git ta knowin' folks ya won't hafta wurry bout puttin' on no airs..... then its .... Keystone or Icehouse 'll do fer now....
  8. I love this...... ......This is great stuff.... .....and this is a great comment......" as you start to catch fish you get more hooked and have to buy more gear. sorry about that cant help it". Ioiosoiwork..... ......Freshwatermodels, you'll be gettin' nice lakers, browns and 'bows from Canadice, and those PLUS maybe some really nice walleye from Hemlock in no time with the great help U R getting.
  9. Very Nniiiiice !! Sounds like (if U do) the makings of some nice freezer stuffing !!
  10. Will results and other post-tourney stuff be posted to a website, maybe......possibly......hopefully ?
  11. Nniiiiicee! First one and a good one !!!
  12. Mortigan..... thanx for the NOAA link Had no idea the depths were in the 20's fow at the bends.....
  13. flyrod 2... Just the guy I might B looking towards with thought and questions about NYS fisheries and related stuff! Don't worry.... don't want to scare ya! Have often wondered who could possibly open doors to or have answers for DEC related things....

    Port Bay Perch

21 good sized crappie and a 6lb. largemouth....? That is a GREAT DAY OF FISHING!!
  15. Georged.....Yeah I see what you're thinking on that green vs. 'seed thing. The greens I have caught have a narrower body, more like a rocky in body shape, rather than rounded as a pumpkinseed's body. But the 'seeds always have the reddish edged ear flap....which his green picture does not have. It also has the larger mouth like greens do....Fisherman 21....try Mill Creek in Perkinsville NY for brookies....
  16. Northerns are all over in that lake. Mostly have caught them incidentally while bass fishing. What old man says is so, if U can make it down there. Since they are not heavily targeted there because of all the great fishing for so many different types, and all of the good food and cold water, makes for the possibility of maybe some really big northerns lurking somewhere in the depths there......Biggest I've seen was only 8lbs caught on a small worm at the north end about 200 yards from the C of C launch, again inadvertently while really just pausing and doing nothing and picking up a panfish here and there.....
  17. So you formally introduced your tourney partner to your wife on Tuesday....? Dude........
  18. I agree....And the smallies are really hittin' it in lakes and streams everywhere right now, too!!
  19. Beautiful pics of the foliage . And yeah, whats with the balloon? Did they actually touch down on the water ?
  20. Something tells me those guys don't or won't read this forum but, maybe they'll get some "second hand " lip about their docking demeanor from somebody they know who does. One can only hope. Beautiful on Canandaigua for fishing for a few days here....!
  21. Zern..... Nnniiiiiiicee!!! Startin' to stock up early on the freezer packing, eh? Good idea, in case U don't get much ice time because of GLOBAL WARMING..... (No matter what Hiedi Cullen thinks... !) Btw, all 'gills, no 'seeds on the sunnies?
  22. Really nice bass! And great to see folks are still out there goin' for them this time of year, and feeling good enough about it to post stories and pics on our Best Fish Friends, the Bass Family..... .... seems that folks sort of "grow out of" going after bass and move on to other fish and kind of think, at least in the back of their minds, that bass are sort of, well, ordinary. Just MHO.... .....Then again, maybe not, I hope..... ! Nice fish....
  23. Jake loves the cover!! Great job in the wet weather!!
  24. Now we know why AND how the Berlin Wall was laid to rest....along with the rest of the USSR.....Mitt, are u watching?.....That happened over 20 years ago...Was that you with the grenades?
  25. Mostlymuskies..... ....Great story, and for real !
