King autopilots went out of business about 15 years ago. There was a guy in Florida that bought all of there parts. I don't know if he was selling them online. I had the same autopilot on my old boat.
I wouldn't try to tie it in to any electronics. I would just be thrilled if it keeps you in a straight line.
I fished Punta Cana a few times. In my opinion the Inshore fishery has been overfished. You can go after some of the pelagic species like Sailfish. Most of the charters seem like a boat ride.
I would do some research on :

Put up a few posts about charter services in Punta Cana.
Good luck
I fish out of Oswego. During the month ofSeptember the fishing can be good in Oswego. However, I usually run to Pulaski and fish in front of the salmon River
Thanks

I have a 290 Amberjack. I installed a Garmin Ghp 12 autopilot with the octopus remote unit. No problems with the autopilot.
Also, I run 3 Cannon downriggers. The middle rigger is mounted off center towards the port side. No issues whatsoever.
Thanks

I was thinking about upgrading my electronics.
I currently have a Lowrance HDS10GEN2 with a B164 1000w transducer. The cone angle on the B164 is a little too narrow. I have a few options in mind.
1). Furuno 587 v with a 600w B60 ($1200.00 after rebate). pros having dedicated fish finder, I could dedicate lowrance for radar and GPS Cons most expensive
2). purchase a B60 for my lowrance HDSGEN2 $200, PROs =least$ CONS one unit for finder/gps/radar
3). Go with some new technology B150m Chirp transducer & Lowrance sonar hub, I could then keep my B164 and double its output by running it through the sonar hub. ($800) Pros moderate price, newest technology, double output for my b164 Cons one unit for finder/gps/radar
Give me some thoughts!!!!!
Thanks

Hodges Marine has the best deal on the Furuno 587V $1,122.15 You can get a B60 600w transducer Thruhull transducer for just under $170. $1,300.00 for everything shipped. Also, Furuno is now offering a $100 mail in rebate. I have been thinking about this setup myself.
IMO, I would stay away from the transom mount transducer and opt for a thru hull transducer
The other option I have been tossing around is getting the Lowrance Sonar Hub for my HDS10GEN2 with a B150M Chirp transducer.
Good luck
