I have a lowrance hds10 gen2. It is paired with a 1000watt thruhull transducer from airmar. So far so good. I am able to track the bottom at 35mph+. Also, it has a split screen for the 4g radar& gps. My reason for going with the lowrance was dashboard space. I wanted one unit that "does it all". I dont have the room for a seperate fishfinder and a gps. So the lowrance filled my need. I want to spool up a tekota 700 with 300 ft of 45lb copper. How much 50lb power pro backing do I need? I think it's 300 yards pf backing but Im not 100% certian Anyone know???

Sounds like mech power assist. This is the same setup I have in my searay amberjack. Like previous replys. You probably have a power steering pump that assists the cable system. If you had a hydraulic system there would be lines directly to the steering wheel.
