  6. Thanks alot you guys we had a riot. And Roggie im just so glad everything went well and we broke outa are slump. I was more than happy to have you on the boat and show you what Lake Ontario has to offer. Maybe next time you go with us we will get you that Big King for your wall.
  7. Rolled the Haywire out of the chutes around 8am to go do some derby fishing. We celebrated and Friday night. My cousin Rog was up from Virginia and he is getting married in August and his brothers, Beers, and I are in the wedding party and Rog didnt want a stag party, he wanted a day of fishing!...... I can do that!. Also congrats Jimbo on passing your EMT class, we are all proud of you. I have not posted on LOU for a few weeks cause i honestly havnt had anything really worth reporting. I absolutly stunk it up in Orleans Pro Am and just havnt been moving many rods .....till Saturday. We targeted Kings but just couldnt buy a bite, so slipped into shallower water and saw all kinds of stuff on the bottom. I had some great friendly advice from my good friends on Wet Willy and by 9:30am we had Rog into the biggest fish of his life. Long fun fight and excitement, we got it about 10 feet behind the boat and saw are next leaderboard Laker around, 20 lbs. Couple big head shakes and bye bye. Nothing Rog did, it happens so we ensured him that all of us have done it or had that happen. So we kept chipping and going East with constant action and had alot of fun till the dark clouds rolled in. So we opted to go sit it out in the dock and when it cleared we ran straight out to 70 then 80 and started pickin away again at slot lakers. We had alot of fun and my cousin had a great day and we took more hits and landed more fish than ever, for us. 12 for 14 and all were successfully released, no spoon bite all Luhr Jensen dodgers and green flies and Spin Doctor and flie got all of them, we called it a day at 6:30pm. Cap n Rotor got a little damp and the old girl was idling rough anyhow. Another awesome and fun day on Ontario. Cant wait to go back next Saturday. Good luck to all fishing in Summer LOC. And thanks again Wet Willy! .
  8. Ya man get back at them when the weather calms down. Im in my fourth year of Salmon fishing and usually end up with one or two skunks a year happens to everyone im sure.

  10. Wow thats a great weekend way to go, thanks for the great report.
  11. gokud13, thanks for taking the pics. It was nice meeting you, i love when i get to meet LOU members. Take care buddy.
  12. Thanks everyone, ya theres alot of time and me and Jeff been checkin on the board from time to time. Its a long week.
  13. Worked all week after work to get the Haywire ready for derby fishing, repair floor, new board to mount the riggers on and it turned into way more work than i ever imagined. But got allot of things fixed that needed attention. Mikee got the hull waxed up so good she looks like a way newer boat and Matt got all the new vinyl graphics made up. So Saturday morning Beers, Matt, and myself headed her out of the shoots at 6:00 am and setup in 80 ft of water where we marked all those fish last week but didnt see much. Got a throw back Brown on the Crabface and slipped out deeper and marked alot of suspended fish. I threw half of the boat at them and tried changing speed, direction, everything . So said the heck with it and sent some stuff to the bottom for the submarines we were marking all the way along. Immediatly the lines were screaming. We learned alot from the Captain of Legacy last month at the LOTSA meeting. Which i am now a member. So after landing a bunch of slot sized Lakers and releasing them are Spin Doctor/Atomic Fly gets . Fish immediatly started pulling drag and Beers was up to bat, Matt had the wheel and i cleared a rod or two out of the way and we all just enjoyed the long fight that entailed. We were happy just to be catching fish and never figured on what we were about to net. As the beast approached the back of the boat i heard Beers say HOLY **** its huge . I seen it and told myself dont screw this up. Netted Beers Biggest Fish Ever 26.05 lbs laker. We went nuts, high fives, yelling and a mad rush to Captains Cove. What a awesome day for a awesome crew of guys. Jeffs fish was in first place for Lakers but yesterday it got bumped to second. Non the less are goal has been just to get a fish on the board that sticks. So we are hoping. After a trip to the Black North for lunch we headed her back to the barn for some celebritory . Im very lucky to have amazing friends and a awesome wife that help me fish the BIG O Sunday we did a bunch more slot lakers and got a nice steelie. For the weekend we ended up 13 for 17. Best weekend of fishing we have ever had. We been fishing out there four years now and its just getting funner and funner. Good luck to everyone fishing the Spring LOC 2013.
  14. Ditto, great report and hope your wife is ok.
  15. Sounds like a good pick of fish. Nice and great report
  16. Ya i bet .......someday we will.
  17. Way to go that is amazing, beautiful fish. Its going to make a awesome mount. Congrats.
  18. Thanks alot i appreciate it. I wanted to mention are speed i forgot in my post. Same as last week 2.8-3.0 at the ball.
  19. Saturday April 6th, headed out of the shoots at 7:45am to see icycles on that little tree on the wall that was cool. The little Merc Cruiser was not quite as enthused about how cold it was. But my good buddy Beers was able to get her cleaned out. We trolled out front to no avail and tried going east and Matt picked up a FAT Football, off the rigger 5 down 50 back with a flutter spoon. So we bee bopped around over there for awhile and nothing. So we headed down the coast crankin some tunes looking for some promising looking water and all of sudden i saw a mark come off the bottom. We had just entered a nice mud line and 40 degree water and BOOM it was on baby. Beers was fighting a dandy and then another rod went off and Matt grabbed that rod so i drove till Beers got his fish to the rear of the boat, i let go of the wheel, ran back scooped it up and ran back to wheel. And Beers netted Matts fish. So after high fives and some cheers we got setup again and continued, ten minutes later, rod goes off Beers tells me take the fish buddy. Nice fight and great net job, i got a 12 lbs Brown with a HUGE hump on his back, very cool. Caught a few more and then a little case of the droppsies and we ended up 6 for 10. We succesfully released one little guy. Top producers were still stickbaits in any size off the boards 100 back. All different colors worked as well. We had a awesome day, great friends great fishing and great memories. Thanks to Beers and Matt for all the help allready this year, CANT WAIT to go again.
  20. Ya i know it . I knew we were going to forget something, but couldnt believe it was the balls for the riggers. All i could do was laugh. So the cannon probe wouldnt stay in the water due to no wieght so i ended up putting a master lock on the swivel where the ball should have been and HEY it workd. Just another day on the Haywire. Beers and Cuzn Jay got a kick out of it . The balls are now in the boat.
  21. Headed out Saturday to blow the cobwebs outa the old girl with my good buddy Beers and Cousin Jay. We went 2 for 4, didnt fish for to long. Are best setup was F series rapalas on the boards in about 6 ft of water. 90 Ft off the boards and 2.8 mph. No mud line at all near the Oak for the most part but im sure there is now. Towards the end of are shakedown im preety sure of what it was, we had are first ripper of the year. King Salmon on a Flutter spoon 50 back with 3 split shots. CRAZY BABY, Beers grabbed the rod while the Okuma screamd. We had it on for awhile but in the end it spit the hook. So we will be back for him. All in all a good shakedown we had fun boat ran good, we got a soft spot in the floor to fix and i learned its good to have the rigger balls IN THE BOAT NOT THE GARAGE good to be back on the Big O
