  1. I'll have my son and his bud on board this weekend. We'll have our whole program running, and hopefully it'll result in mucho rods firing. I'll know more about that come Monday though.
  2. There can't be only a couple odd fish in the river. The lake would be by far the best bet, and in fact should be SMOKIN' this weekend.
  3. If your putting in at either the Lighthouse or Pine Grove, go straight out of the chute on a NNW direction, and you'll see the fleet of boats....no doubt. We were in 130-140 fow or so and temp was 105 down. Long copper in that traffic is not a good idea, FWIW.
  4. Yes sir, that was us......lol. It was kinda bumpy/rolling on the way out. I saw you guys set down in about 115 fow or so, and kept an eyeball on you to see if all was ok.
  5. Actually, I painted my torpedo shaped weights silver on the bottom/black on top, with adhesive red eyes. I really do not know if that really helps, but I did that, and have touched them up that way as well. Nervous energy/ambition, in the anticipation of the suspect that it could help. Who the hell really knows..........? Not me.
  6. What's the best you can do on the 4 of 'em?
  7. What WOULD be required to avoid the registration of an AR-type rifle?
  8. That is a mighty personal question.............
  9. And also come to find out he was up until about 1:00 am texting his friends, then I had him up at 4:00. Helps when you have a bit more sleep than that..............like getting to bed about 9:00? Only a thought....lol. Maybe next time he'll remember blowin' groceries over the side, and seek out the pillow sooner.
  10. 1 was a 32 lb male, others were in the 23-25 lb range.
  11. I've frogged around with Salmon Feast, with mixed results. I have used Berkley Walleye with very good, marked, results before.
  12. We had pulled 'em from the 42-48 degree water Sunday.
  13. We smacked 'em up the lake farther on Sunday morning.
  14. We were up by the North Pond on Sunday. Girlfriend's 14 yr old grandson boated a 32 lb male, and 2 females in the 23-25 lb range. Pro-Troll plates/Atomik flys. He even let me pull on in......lol. We were back at the dock by 10:00 as he was chumming...ouch!
  15. I use 2 small chain saw files held togather side/side. Works for me.
  16. That's where I'm headed to Saturday morning as well.
  17. We will be in the general area, Saturday/Sunday as long as the wind doesn't keep us landlocked. Holler on the radio/68, and I'll share what ever I can,(might be damn little...lol) to help get you going. Don't be nervous.
  18. I've fished in the Raquette River,(many times) and Simon Pond, which is basically the same water, as only the road separates, those from Tupper Lake. Walleyes, bass, nothern's were what we caught. No big fish, but a good quantity. We were trolling upstream once and had to manuever the boat around a dead deer floating out to Simon Pond.
  19. Dave, Funny you mention the bullhead in that water, as we caught a 10-12 lb catfish 60 ft. down/110 fow, on a Tropical Thunder spoon last year up by Sandy Pond. We were puzzled as to why he would be there.
  20. They won't be in that 30-40 ft stuff, I was refering to, in mid-August. They'll be in the cold water still, until their internal clock has them heading to the rivers. We've also flatlined J's 100-150 back, Apex lures, and Stingfish too. They all work.
  21. We are generally 20 on the F/F's and 30 plus, for the spoons.
