  1. ................and temp sets up too.
  2. FWIW, I fish almost every single weekend(missed 1 this year) from March, 'till October, with a 2-stroker on my Walleye boat, and an I/O in my Starcraft. I have NEVER, purchased 1 oz. of gas from a marina pump, and only had 1 issue(prior to the use of Startron) with the carb on the I/O. Plugged jets, from the ethanol. Cleaned it, and it has been fine since. I have religiously used Startron in all my outdoor power equipment, for some time now, and all run fine when they are put in service. One thing I have noticed is that how quick they start, with the additive.
  3. A ton of marks, and bait inside the 130 fow area, in front of the river, to the North Pond. No temp break whatsoever, Sunday, and they were as high as 50-55 ft, and also pasted to the bottom. I did most of my(solo'ed) fish 125 on the riggers, in 125 fow, pulling flasher/fly combos. Heard some taken from meat, and spoons as well, on the radio.
  4. Good find.
  5. Were those the same/semi-same hull design as the 26 ft'ers?
  6. Sampo coast locks here. When your hooked up on that that 30 plus lb'er, last thing you want to happen is your swivel(s) coming unglued.
  7. We run the dipsey rods off the bird trees.
  8. We have 10 ft U/S dipseys. They seem to work fine. I'll keep an eyeball on 'em.
  9. I put the coast lock on the "more", and measure off 24", so, like has already been said, gives you enough to re-tie, a few times, before your choking down on the fly leader too far. I also, don't believe we are building a Saturn V Rocket here, we are fishing.
  10. Wonder why the big-un's latch onto the meat? Our biggest fish have been caught on meat rigs too.
  11. It a sheer vertical drop to the bottom, and fish seem to hug up next to it.
  12. Twinkie rigs have several flys, or squids, behind the plate, and a bait head trailing. Supposed to represent a school of minnows, with the injured guy in the back. Seems that a lot of folks don't fool with cut bait much any more. We don't leave home without it.
  13. I'd strap on a PDF, for starters.
  14. We run the Oki slashers as well, in front of twinkes, most of the time.
  15. Surpised this hasn't been grabbed up. On/off trailer easy, handles more rough water than most fisherman will, and economical to run.
  16. I think you'll be just fine. We run 10' Ugly Stick Dipsey rods, and the really work well.
  17. Ran my hot and ground back directly to the second battery, and has been trouble-free since the day I installed it, several years ago. When I see that the screen displays less than 8.5V, I toss a new battery in, the next time it goes down. It's due for that before we fish again this weekend. Don't know if it helps, but it makes me feel better.
  18. We boated fish in Oswego on 8/4, but they were not hopping in the boat. Beaucoup sailboats were on the water, made for a pretty sight. Sure was a warm one.
  19. The ones I'm eyeballing, are Deapthmaster Metal DMM30's. One piece aluminum frame Aluminum spool S/S ball and roller bear drive system 5 holes machined into the frame below the counter.
  20. Thanks for the info, gentleman.
  21. Wonder if anyone knows? Their 30 class "all metal" reels have a Shimano look to them? Many Thanks.
  22. No doubt these boats need to run correctly, and be SAFE. It costs money.
