  1. They seem to produce, when other stuff is just getting towed around.
  2. ...........................................and they'll need to spend some of our tax dollars to do a study on the effects of this.
  3. We were actually targeting lakers, with cowbells/peanuts, in 100-130 fow. Boated about 1/2 dozen, 24-30"ers. Nothing real big.
  4. When we have rods fire, and nothing there, I sometimes have wondered if they grab the plate sometimes.
  5. NICE.
  6. I'm going to have to leave some of my gear at home, 'cause you were catching us coming in.
  7. Seems most BW products, are a step above.
  8. 100-130 fow, NE of the plant. All the 24-30" lakers you want.
  9. I started in 36 fow, @ 109, and never touched a fish until I came in to 34. Soloed, and was boxed out by 8:30. Frogged around in 32-33 fow in front of the Orange Wall, with different stuff. Ended up boating 5 legal fish, dropped another at the back of the boat, 2 shorts, and 2 silvers. Mighty fine table fare. Pulled the plug about the same time. Oneida is givin' it up, pretty good so far this year.
  10. East end.
  11. I'll take the Eagle Claw set-ups.
  12. Beaucoup' Walleye limits are being landed. Hair jigs, sonars, and even crawler harness. I've fished it for years, and haven't seen it like this.
  13. His eyes were bigger than his stomach!! Saw a 20" plus Walleye, in a 40" plus Northern Pike on Black Lake, years ago.
  14. Frogged around with the Berkley stuff, and have witnessed it to work with Walleyes. One day on Oneida, trolling crawler harnesses, my side of the boat had it on, the other side didn't. I was consistantly hooking up, and the other side of the boat was sucking hind tit. The guy was pi$$ed, but refused to use it. Go figure?
  15. Good news. Looks relatively flat for Sunday. Hope to be there!
  16. That would have frosted my figs right there. Shame on them for that BS.
  17. We had riggers mounted back there once. Mighty freakin' hairy when it was rough, but generally do not fish from our Tracker offshore, on the big "O". We have a 22 ft. Islander for that, and even then, the boat will handle more than the fisherman tolerate.
  18. I agree about setting it up, so any/all is very functional, and comfortable.
  19. Fished without one for years, but once we installed one, it opened our eyes to what we were not aware of, and I will say that it has resulted in more fish.
  20. For the price of 'em, they sure as hell shouldn't do that.
  21. I bit the bullet and made up some aluminum mounts, for my 17 ft Tracker, and bolted them to the gunwales, for the Big Jons. 4 thumb screws remove them, with only the mount left. I had Walker hand-crankers mounted to the very back. You don't want them there. Giant PITFA. Took the rear seat off the pedestal, and mounted an 18", 1/2" X 6" piece of aluminum to it, that I mounted 2 rod holders, and then milled 2, 5/8" slots to drop pliers into, without falling thru.
