  1. Hand a hand injury once. No joy. Take good care of it!
  2. We've pulled severl of them in with eels on 'em, and about 20% of the fish we/ve caught have marks on 'em.
  3. Is this boat sitting in front of Jon's Tackle??
  4. No birds!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!! I was looking foward to more bird pics!!!
  5. 150 ft off the boards @ 2.2-2.4 is what worked for me.
  6. Yup. That is what "Woodys" refered to as the goby pattern.
  7. Heard it was wall to wall, and tree-top tall. Also heard folks throwing stickbaits, resulting in good limits upsteam, as far as Rt. 49, in Fish Creek.
  8. Dave, They are lighter colored tan bellys, with a brown pattern on the back/sides. Has a very realistic, natural, look to them. I am dumb to posting pictures, (my daughter is going to give me a tutorial) but Woody's has 'em, or did. I grabbed the last 2, they had hanging, for a good friend of mine. I'm sure they can get more.
  9. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Fish Hunter I ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 5/8 Time on Water:5 hrs Weather/Temp: sunny/55 Wind Speed/Direction:west 5-7mph Waves: flat, then 1-1/1/2's Surface Temp: 50-52 Location:in/around mouth of Grindstone Creek. LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4 Total Boated:4 Species Breakdown:browns Hot Lure: Smithwick Goby Trolling Speed: 2.0-2.5 Down Speed: same Boat Depth: 8-15 fow Lure Depth: off the boards ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Came out of the Big Salmon, and trolled north. Nothing. Came back across the mouth, and still nothing. Beautiful day to be on the water!!! Kept going south and started hitting fish near the State Park. Only thing they'd touch was that Goby pattern. I was flying solo, so only 2 lines in the water, but would have had Suttons off the balls if my first mate was with me. Almost ran one with some split-shot off the boards but didn't. Wasn't a spectacular catch day, but certainly enjoyed myself.
  10. Good way to get the season going. Limits were caught today, in the mouth of the NYS Barge Canal, in Sylvan Beach, which is not really big news, as that is the norm this time of year.
  11. Landshark, We could all come over and hop on your lake!! Scott
  12. I thought that was an old trick(cut bait in the fly) that The Fish Doctor, had been using for some time??
  13. 2 years ago I had the last fish on the board at Marion Manor Marina, in that tourney. Can't do much about the boating restriction, so were gonna' continue with the browns on the big lake. One thing is for sure, we WILL fish.
  14. That's a hellava freshwater fish, to whack the tail of another fish weighing 10 lbs. Wow!
  15. No boats on Oneida Lake, for the Walleye opener. Shore fishing only.
  16. You can't find 'em much anymore, from what I know. All Seasons Sports, in Pulaski, HAD, a bunch of new 22's, and 44's, 'till my son and I were in there last week. Some were even hammered finish. Not many spoons, if any, have that action.
  17. We were right in back of you folks at the launch, when you were getting on the trailer on Sunday. We did well west of the launch. Going to be on Oneida for the Walleye opener, this weekend, but if those buggers give me a hard time, I know what I'm going to do. I'll be back fishing on another lake, that begins with the letter "O".

  19. Dave, I was trying to raise you, but figured you were out of range. We were in the "corner' between the State Park, and Mexico Pt, and had gulls swooping at the spoons when we were picking it up to go in. My son and I did well, but was a bit bumpy for the little boat. Sunday, fished west of the launch, and we did well also, and we too, saw another boat land a gull, and it was released unharmed. Too funny!! P.S. That looks like an Arctic Tern you have. They migrate from the Arctic, to Antarctica every year, logging 20,000 miles per year round trip. No other bird has that migratory sky time. That fella' was just probably just hungry, from all that flying. Scott
  20. Just looked on http://www.weatherunderground.com, Sat, clear/sunny, 9 mph out of the nnw, dropping off to 6 mph by mid-afternoon. Probably 1 ft'ers I'd guess. It going to swing out of the south on Sunday, cloudy/40% rain, but betcha' pretty flat up close to the south shore...............just where the fish are. Yaaahooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Dave, What great fishing your having!! Good going. What is the wind for the weekend?? Have you heard?? Thanks, Scott
  22. I have that exact kicker engine on the little boat. Never misses a beat.
