Gold backed spoons, smaller in size, extra long leads, stickbaits in black/silver and brown/gold are my go to for clear water. But as stated above clear water is TOUGH Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Use Kosher salt. dump the salt in a ziplock bag and then put meat inside. Make sure it’s coated extremely well. It will toughen the strips up. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Fished from 630am - 930am. Fishing was great. Went 14 for 14 on Browns all between 3 - 8 lbs.. One small Steelhead, and one KING that went 13 lbs. Mix of spoons off 1- color leads, and riggers down 5'- 7' and Bay Rats out 100'-125' off the boards all taking fish. Worked depths from 7' - 20'.
Great show as always. It was nice to see Everyone and just talk some fishing. Looking forward to next year Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I run 300/450/ and 600 coppers all with the same lead (or close to it). Like you stated I eyeball it, but I have somewhere between 35-50’. I had a lead get short maybe 20’ or so and it went “dead” after i lengthened it, it started producing again. Maybe the day ? Couldn’t tell you but if it ain’t broke ........
