  8. check your knot measurments. i know guys that have Otters and changing your knot distance makes them run better http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/topic/4955-big-jon-otter-boards-knot-placement/?hl=%2Botter+%2Bboats#entry25632
  9. Blind Sodus is not dredged until the second week of June. It was changed a few years back to this. The monies for the dredging come out of an association fund. We usually have just enough to keep it open through Labor Day the past couple years. You can go to the website for information - BSBIA.ORG
  10. I made double boards out of cedar and drilled 5 holes in the bottom roughy 1/2 deep and melted some old lead sinkers into the holes. I then sanded them smooth and covered the bottom with a thin coat of epoxy. The boards pull so hard I have to stop the boat to bring them in
  11. X2 Nothing smaller than 10 gauge. A old set of jumper cables with ends cut off work great for running distance
  12. Assuming the autopilot is nmea compliant you would need to hook that to the c90. On the back of the C90 you will need a sea talk to nmea cable. I'm not familiar with your autopilot but did find the website on a quick search. Maybe they can help answer your questions. http://www.kingmarineelectronics.com/products.html
  13. I'm with Glenn and Rich. I have a T8 on my trophy 2352 which is over 5000lbs and it has no problems pushing it even in rough seas into the wind.
  14. As Rich said the bags are used to control the rocking motion of the boat that get most sick as well as slow you down. With the bags out it makes fishing in rough seas more pleasurable
  15. Personally I would go with the kicker. I have trolled without one and with bags and it works but it's nice to have the extra motor and it saves hours on your main A bag will work but after time you will get build up on your plugs. I know on my dads boat even with a bag out its tough to get down to speed. You can change the pitch of your prop to achieve the results you are looking for too. You can also also use a trolling plate as well vs a bag. All will work it just comes down to several factors, hours on main, buildup, deploying and running bags, low enough RPMs, and of course $
  16. I've done it a few times on my own and even did a charter once too. Fishing was definitely hit or miss. We did catch some but no real numbers. There was some boat traffic (early first week or so) and it died off after that. Alot of guys with no lights and just using headlamps :-/ Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. That is correct. It's just the cam seal and by the time it goes there's nothing you can do. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. The last time we had a winter like this was 2012. And yes the Kings showed up early. Started in April and never stopped. These were all out of FH April 12th 2012 May 7th 2012 May 12th 2012 You get the picture. It's almost time [emoji1]
  19. Had a 3.7 in one of my previous boats. It ran great with no signs of trouble. I always checked fluid levels. Without warning I blew a seal and a gasket and never knew it until it was too late and the boat started started shaking like it was in a washing machine. Pulled the engine cover a had coolant and oil all over. I was stranded in the Lake Ontario floating towards Canada - that was enough for me - Wont buy a boat with another one in it.
  20. 20lb or 30lb Berkley/Trilene Big Game. I normally use 20 and then splice in 150' of 30 after the fleas show up heavy Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. I know it's still early but my vote for dinner is the same place as last year. It worked out great, we were all together and had room to mingle.
