Here's my conclusion. Solid rifle, good feel, very accurate. Pros: I was only using a single shooting stick so bench reaults should be better. Started at 100 yds and had a 2",group at 5". high to start. Made some adjustments. Shots 1-2 were at 100 yds. Shots 3-4 were "shooter error". I ended up moving to 150 yards and broke a stick to give me a cross support and ended up with 1.5" group.(shots 5,6, and 7) I was pleased for "free hand" shooting without a bench. Cons : have to make sure bullets are moved all the way back in the magazine or they won't load correctly. There is a little play in it. Once you do it there are no problems ( more human error than gun) And last is the scope. It will work but its not the best. Obviously for the price it isn't top notch. Overall very pleased with comfort, feel, trigger, and accuracy. I would recommend to someone looking for a dependable rifle at a good price. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Interesting evening in my treestand-double on coyotes
bout time replied to Tall Tails's topic in Big / Small Game
Last night I was able to harvest a buck at 430pm. Placed a good shot (heart) and it watched it drop within 30 yards. Had it gutted and dragged out by 510pm. Checked my trail cam tonight and a pack of yotes showed up at 515 pm. It doesn't take them long.....I'm just glad I was gone before they got there Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
What do you like for calls ? (estrus can, grunt call, etc). I usually use the estrus can first thing when I get in my stand and settled then sparotically through the rest of the day. I will ocasionally add some grunt calls at the end to mix it up. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I'm with you. Things have been REAL slow for me. After a long drought of not seeing a deer I finally managed to get a shot off at an 8 tonight. 25 yards slightly quartering away. He ducked and I watched the lighted noc fly right over his back. Then sat and watched it "stare" at me for the next 1.5 hours.Congrats to everyone who has taken bucks this week. This thread helps me get through the long sits with no action Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

This is a lot like salmon fishing. Things are heating up out west and im waiting for the push east. I'm in Oswego county and things are really just beginning with a little sign here and there. Nothing really heavy yet. Bucks really showing little interest in the does. Very few scrapes. Etc. At least this thread helps me pass the time in the stand as i watch the squirrels Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Went out today and picked up a package of G5 Strikers cause thats just what the store had in stock. Flew straight as an arrow (pun intended). Was able to get a decent group at 30 yards with no bow tuning. Thanks for all the help and advice. Good luck everyone with the remainder of the season. 'Bout Time Mike

i just recently switched from Rage 2 blades to G5 Montec fixed blades. With the Rage my arrows flew pretty damn straight (really close to field tips). the G5s have caused my arrow to have a corkscrew (spiral) flight pattern. they are the same weight - 100g and im using the same arrow shafts. i have aligned the blades to match my fletchings. i am shooting a Hoyt 28.5" draw @ 65 lbs. Arrows are Carbon Express 400g @ 30" with Quick Spin fletchings. My groups arent terrible 2-3" @ 20 yds but not as good as the expandables. I would like to get away from expandables and use the fixed blades Any help would be appreciated.

The tension is factory set to 20lbs. Depending on boat size and weight you may need to adjust it to work properly. I run a 25' trophy at at almost 5000 lbs I had to tighten the set screw slightly for it to work. Just use 1/4 turns and check after adjustment 'Bout Time Mike
