  1. Walker deeper divers 107 for me. They can go over 100' depending on setting. I run 3 sometimes 4 without issues. Best thing for me is no rings to worry about. Run insides in 1 and outsides on 3-3.5 this is with 3/4 rigger spread also.
  2. AWESOME JOB - GLAD TO SEE THE NEW RIDE IS WORKING FOR YOU
  3. One trick to getting the know tight is to attach weight to rigger and have someone hold it down and use a pair of pliers to pull on tag end and synch tight. The more it is used the knot will tighten up
  4. Its just me. I historically have a tough time every June. Its the transition period for FH. Usually 1st week of Ju?ly things start. Browns are around to be caught now but I always look at it as a way to improve my game and learn new techniques by targeting salmon and steelies this time of year
  5. im using depth raider. I have always done well between 2.1 - 2.3 with it. I used to have a cannon and best donwspeed with that was 2.4 plus
  6. Sunday I pushed west towards Port Bay and worked water from 100-150 range. Ran 2 riggers @ 60 and 90 with free sliders - all spoons, 2 dipseys running flaher fly rigs @ 185-290, and one high dipsy pulling a spoon at 140 on a 3 seeting. also ran a 3 color core pulling a spoon. fished from 630-10am. never moved a single rod again. i did notice more bait and had some decent marks all in my presentation range but couldnt get them to go. i varied speed from 1.8 - 2.3 to try to get them to fire.
  7. Posted my results in reports section- long story short big fat goose egg for 7 hours of fishing.
  8. Fished from 530am - 12:30 today. Started in 50 FOW and worked out to 400. Only bait and fish I saw were in 70-80 range. My only hit of the day came on a dispsy set on 1 out 210 over 160 FOW. It was gone before I got to the rod. I worked NW out then east towards moon beach and back in. Ran flat lines, short riggers deep riggers, wire dipsies, even tried 300 and 450 coppers. I'm going give it another try in the morning
  9. I'm in on the get together. I will be moving my boat to Arneys on Friday morning again and plan to spend day/night to help with anything that is needed.
  10. You will get alot of different answers on this but for me its black black and then black. If I find a good deal on any color ones I buy them and paint them black.
  11. I will be out this weekend out of Fair Haven. Its not exactly Oswego but should give you a heads up of what the lake/fishing looks like. I will try post my results by Sunday night if not sooner mike
  12. went out Sunday from 630-10:00. worked East of chute, everywhere from 6 - 30 FOW ran a program of 6 sticks off boards and 2 spoons of corner riggers. one side natural and one side bright colors. water ranged from 44 - 47.5 degrees. Crystal clear water. Never moved a single rod. at 10 i ran out to 100 FOW to check things out. water temp was 43 out there. pointed it towards the chute and trolled back in running just 2 spoons down various depths off riggers - not a single hit. At least all my lures are freshly washed for when the fish show up. As a side note i did talk to a guy from Sodus who took two Kings on Sunday while fishing Lakers. He caught them 70 over 120 and 45 over 100 off small spoons.
  13. Congrats Rick. way to do your own thing and stay away from the crowds on day one
  14. Check your antenna connection (the RCA plugs) to make sure they are not corroded. Make sure probe is correct way up. Does the display turn on just no readout? Also make sure the swivel you are using is all metal and not painted.
  15. What DSM are you running? Also take a look at what software version you are on. Another option is restore factory default settings and start fresh Just make sure you have the correct transducer selected and go from there. A lot of times it is one it two settings that were changed.
  16. I just secured a "gold" level donation from my company. I still have a couple im working on but it is great to see some :major corporations taking interest. It just shows what a great cause this is.
  17. Got out yesterday from 330pm -630pm. Water was COLD 38-40 nothing higher. I headed West and fished from the Chute down to "7 Sisters" and back without a single hit. I worked muddy, green, and clear water from 8'-30' of water. I ran 6 lines off the boards with sticks and 2 riggers of the corners loaded with spoons. One side was Chartrouse, Orange, all Bright colors, the other side was Black/Silver, Blue/White, Goby patterns. Boat ran great and felt good to be out on the water regardless of the SKUNK. but good to get it out of the system earlier than later.
  18. 'Bout Time is in. The wife and I will help in anyway needed. Looking forward to it.
  19. For the price of a spool of new line I always respool every year. The way I look at it is, if you take a chance with old line and loose one setup it will cost anywhere from $8-$30 to replace the setup depending on what you are running. The 8-15 bucks for new line is assurance and peace of mind
  20. I feel your pain. I took a rapala hook in the finger same as you. It went straight in to the bone. No getting it out alone. Oswego ER and i get the one Dr who has never seen a fish hook before. Shots of novicane a knife and some pliers did the trick. Sore for a week....here's to a quick recovery
  21. Exactly as Tim said 10-15' back and 2' down. That is what is great about HO's in the spring is most of the time you can see them hit the fly. We have had them hit 5' form the boat on the surface while bringing in the line.
