  2. I know there have been similar topics in the past, but I was wondering if anyone has had any problems picking up Torpedo shaped downrigger weights on their Fish Finders. I run a Humminbird 787 and I lose the weights after 40-50'. i havent tried adjusting the angle back yet just thought I'd ask first

  4. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: 'Bout Time ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):5/13 and 5/14 Time on Water:5/13 5pm - 7:30pm and 5/14 6am-noon Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 1' or less Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 5/13 6 for 9 and 5/14 2 for 3 Total Boated: Species Breakdown:5/13 all northerns 5/14 coho and steelhead Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: 10-190' Lure Depth: surface to 50 down ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== On friday Afternoon I took my Dad and Uncle out in the bay for some Pike fishing. we were 6 for 9 and lost a BIG Walleye at the boat. On Saturday morning we heading west looking fo browns and had one release on a goby spoon off rigger down 4 over 12' but came unbuttoned. We trolled for next 2 hours without a touch. picked up and headed out to 100 plus. At 160 we took a small coho of the boards pulling a custom taped purple spoon. At 170 we took a nice Steelhead on a 2 color core off the borad pulling an orange dodger / green fly. The fish fought hard for a liitle bit then just gave up and came in on the surface. when I netted the fish it appeared that something had bitten its tail during the fight. It was still bleeding when I brought it in. The closest it came to our prop was 10'. I saw another report about this same thing. what is eating or trying to eat the steelhead?
  5. I was able to move up and couldn't pass up the deal. 25.5' hardtop, kicker motor, auotpilot, track system, and washdown. Thanks to Chris "Irish Knots" for the deal. so far this has been a great platform to fish off. Still getting things in place that work for me but I almost have it dialed in.

  19. I just got done re-tying all my Tandem Leaders (tornament tie) fly rigs and was wondering if the color red is the first color to disappear under water why do we use them on our fly hooks ? I would never change them because they flat out work but these are the questions that come out when you have too much time on your hands. BOUT TIME MIKE
  20. I took a deer this past season and captured it with the FOB camera. I had it mounted on the stabilizer and in close it worked good. It was hard to see the deer as it came in but within 60 yards it was easier. I followed the deer for 5 minutes and took a 20 yard shot. after the shoot i tried to follow the deer with the bow but i was jerky and lost the deer on camera. I would def. say mounted to your hat brim would be better. will try that next year. for 20 bucks still pretty cool to watch
  21. I almost always run 4 rods due to the number of people that fish with me. I will always run 2 riggers, one on each corner and one wire diver per side. I will generally run spoons on the riggers and spinny/flys on the divers. If the spinnys are hot i will run one on the rigger too. If you have a third or fourth person go thats when i would add your copper and lead. with your 300' copper you are limited to depth so unless the fish are in the mid to upper water column i would stick with riggers and wires to cover greater depths. MIKE
