Yes, I will be here all week.Today was a little slow we caught 39 1/4" & 35" muskies in the morning and nothing the remainder of the day.Cullen & John got out way earlier then I did and they caught a nice 42" casting ,37" and another 41"& 36" trolling.Dr Dave caught 4 muskies but biggest was only 36".Two other boats had low 30" fish as well.I did not hear how the Wiley boats did down south. Back out tomorrow in the rain & thunder if it shows, they called for it today and nothing showed!

  4. I hope the cleaning station had enough water pressure from the sprayer hose to clean your eyes. The other day a squirt gun would have put out more water flow!

    Lake Erie

We got out by the windmills after 1 pm, we only managed 3 walleye and a steelhead about 8 lbs, all on harnesses at 1.6 mph.A couple friends we talked to they were quiting at 2 pm and both boats had limits for two persons, they were bottom bouncing worm harnesses with electric trolling motor in 32 to 37 ft of water off Ford Plant.
  10. Emerald Shiners at Huntley Power Station Outflow, by boat!
  11. Very nice northern pike! Congrats!
  12. One more perch trip on Tuesday, then time to switch over to walleye & muskies on May 30th.
  13. The golden shiners did not work as well as emerald shiners.Hanover c leaning station was not open this Saturday, not sure about SBH.
  14. Was a little slower today, not sure if it was the cold front or that Gerome Miller Tackle had no emerald shiners, only bigger golden shiners. But the 50 perch we caught were mostly from 3/4 lb to 1.5 lb size!

It is still a night trolling bite in close off DJ'S Campground.
  16. Went straight out of the Cat to 53 ft of water today and clients caught 100 Perch in short time! The Rig, Tru Turn Blood Red Snelled Hooks size 6 with Enerald Green Bead strung on center of snell, both off three ways swivels only 6" apart, snap with 1 1/2 ounce pencil sinker at bottom.Lower to bottom of Lake and as soon as you feel sinker hit bottom slow lift dragging sinker, bottom kick up attracts the Perch, get one just about everytime!
  17. We went out Sunday and did very good in 52 ft of water straight out of the Cat.The perch were biting very slow just sucking in the minnow, so very slow lift off bottom to feel them to set the hook.Half were chunky and the other half were on the smaller size we let go.Was non stop action until about noon then it slowed down.
  18. Steve, I went through the samething your going thru with your boat trailer with mine a couple years back.Mine was rusting away from the inside out and kept breaking in different places across the frame.I finally had to find a different used boat trailer for replacement.
  19. Very nice story, way to go Capt Sam!
  20. I have a request by one client to go to Guyana in September of this year.I have room for up to 3 other persons for the last 2 weeks of September. This is also a period of low rain fall and low water levels and the first chance to fish the fish trapped in ponds from the flooding of July & August and then sudden drop of water levels. This will be non stop fish action with this being the 1st in fishing for 2015--2016 season!
  21. Last night we could see the Eyes in 5 to 7 ft of water on the bar and could smell them as well. But could not get them to go, only caught a few small mouth bass.56 degree surface water at Woodlawn Bar and 46 degrees in North Gap area, but Buffalo River was 68 degrees and packed with emerald shinners and walleye hooks, none active. We quit at midnight,4 boats returned around the same time and all caught bass and only one boat caught to walleye using electric trolling motor to troll 5 to 6 ft water of the Woodland Bar at 1.5 mph.
  22. There are minnows in the Coke Channel in the South Gap of the Buffalo Harbor, they are up against the walls. You would need to go by boat to get them. Also good school of perch out in 41 ft by the Buffalo Departure Bouy!
  23. Tiger Muskies Only now in NY State, Purebred Muskies opens May 30th for Inland NY State Waters.Great Lakes Waters open on June 20th!
  24. Chad, If it makes you feel better there have been some big name muskie guy's go zippo there many times in a row. When I fished the PMTT at Cave Run I caught one 37" muskie at one tourney and went zippo 4 other times. What makes it tough is you could go to Cave Run the weekend before and catch numbers of muskies, but the following week the water levels are way up or down and everything has moved!
