  3. Ok,now that Pradco downsized the number of different sizes of Nets they will offer, the salmon nets I use to offer are no longer made and until I can deterime what model to now purchase I will hold off selling salmon nets for now. I have in my possesion a limited number of Nets forsale right now and they are: six(6) Beckman Fin Saver 34x36 treated bag with 6ft Handle for $100 each(regular retail is $154.95) four(4) Beckman Walleye 22x28 treated bag with 6ft by 3ft extension handle $75 each(regular retail is $110.95) Due to Fedex & UPS changing the package size pricing to where it cost more then the net to ship now,I can no long ship nets. I will deliver within 25 miles of Tonawanda,NY or they can be picked up at my house. Private email me or send email to [email protected] to order nets! 4. Hookedup, Taken from Homeland Security Site: The Transportation Security Administration's newly disclosed plan to begin implementation of the Transportation Workers Identification Credential without requiring card readers is running into opposition from a biometric industry representative. "This is half a TWIC?a glorified Flash Pass," Walter Hamilton, chairman of the International Biometric Industry Association non-profit trade association, said today. "I'm concerned that the TWIC will not be used in the way it was intended." The credential is a card with a microprocessor that uses radio frequency to convey information wirelessly to a card reader. The communication with the reader enables the card to be read and the information verified from great distance. Also when you call in to Canadian Imigrations to get a control number,if your gps location is working on your cell phone they know if you have reached Canadian waters or not and sometimes will tell you to call back when you get into Canadian waters. I have also seen the computer screen on one of the Homerland Security boats from a very close distance, every boat from Point Abino & Sturgeon Point to Niagara Falls were on the screen and they can determine how long it will take for you to travel in the direction your pointed to a land destination. Then in the Niagara River the camera's on shore can zoom in on you or satelite camera's can get down to face recognition.
  5. Good luck Sunday! I will be back out again then as well, getting the freezer stocked with perch, switching to walleye soon!

  10. We caught our 50 perch each in less then 2 hours! The bite is on! Now for the part I do not like cleaning them!
  11. The perch are hitting very good this morning in 50 ft waters off Point Abino. At this rate of catch, some double headers, I should have my 50 perch in less then 2 hours.Their taking both bottom and top emerald shinners hooked off the perch rig with red beads.
  12. Do not go into Canadian waters if you have a had a DUI or other major arrest record ,even if you call in and get a control number, they will give you the control number then they will come and get you and deport you back accross the border at the bridge. Also definately do not go into Canadian waters without calling in and getting the control number,if you have no prior record, they can fine you $10,000.00 and keep your boat & equipment and put it up for auction.Flare Gun's are firearm's in Canada,do not anchor in Canadian waters or land on Canadian land with one in your posession. http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/goc/canpass_private_boats.shtml After a few calls they know who you are and usually give you the control number right away! 13. I will have Beckman Fin Saver 34 x 36 Nets w/6ft handles and Beckman Walleye 22 x 28 Nets w/6ft by 3ft extention handles available at wholesale pricing! Capt Larry
  14. Saturday we joined the fleet of 40+ boats fishing for perch in 50 ft of water off Point Abino in Canadian waters of Lake Erie. The bottom was covered with perch on the depthsounder, the bite was slow and the perch were grabbing emeral shinners on perch rigs very lightly, every fish was lightly lip hooked. You had to drop your perch rig to the bottom and lightly lift ,when you felt weight set the hook, there were no feeling of bites, they were not stealing the emerald shinners either. But you had to be directly on bottom to catch them, they always came on the bottom hook of the perch rig.We did manage to catch a 5 gallon bucket full, some were jumbino's!
  15. Anyone have any Idea what is going on at the next NY Muskies Chapter 69 meeting on May 19th? Nothing Posted! I know we are going to give Bob Solley the NY Muskies Chapter 69 "Mark Treu Memorial Award",thanks Bob for all you have done for the chapter and community! I will have Beckman Fin Saver Nets 34 x36 w/6ft handles and Beckman Walleye Nets 22X28 w/6ft by 3ft extension handles available a wholesale pricing! I guess if we do not have a speaker we can form a round table of some of us that have lots of time on the water and give tips and answer questions on the up and coming NY Musky Season!
  16. Yes,every spring I see all those big walleye up the creek, but when it becomes time to catch them durring open season I struggle to get just one and most trips none at all.The tiger muskies are also tough to catch there! But again the amount of bait fish one has to compete with makes it hard to hookup on most fish there. I believe a better managed tiger muskie program at Conesus Lake would help lower the bait fish population and increase catch rates of walleye. Also this year the water temps are much colder then mormal,so the walleye are now at post spawn and tight lipped, don't let those warmer surface temps fool you,it is still cold down deep.
  17. The month of October will be available this year as well.
  18. The ez pass system detects the extra axle of your boat trailer and bills you for it,cost is $2.70 from Buffalo to Westfield exit!

  22. Anyone find any action this weekend with the water temps still being colder then normal? I tried a small lake in Pa,still 49 degrees and nothing happening at all!
