  1. Mike, Thanks! Oldman signed up two last night and Joe Dolan the other day.
  2. OK guys originally I was not going to have an October Tourney this year because of low turnout the last two fall tourneys. Now that we decided to have the October 6th Tourney signup has been very slow.I can't reach in my pocket for early signup prizes money for this tourney,I have no extra cash since I have to replace my stolen casting rods.We need 50 entrants to break even, please signup soon. Still at 12 Tourney Entrants! [ Post made via Android ]
  3. Will the August 22nd NY Muskies Inc Chapter 69 Meeting be at Nashvilles? Brad,I'm still waiting for the Chapter Cover Letter to reach my email so I can forward to Chautauqua & Erie County dignitaries, authorities, news papers and clubs. Capt. Larry D. Jones NY Muskies Inc Chapter 69 Regional Rep
  4. Insurance Co's are a rip off,20% depreciation on new rods,+ $300 deductable,I most likely will have to wait 30 to 40 days to get the claim check as well.Good thing I had 5 old casting rods in my garage, not the best but will work until I get new rods.
  5. We have so far only had 2 persons signup since moving the date to October 6th,only 12 persons have signed up so far!
  6. Very Nice Chautauqua Fattie, glad to see someone is catching the bigger fish.I read on another board he had 8 muskies in 5 days.Congrads! [ Post made via Android ]
  7. Good luck in the Con Club Tourney this weekend.70 flow on Canadian line off the Cat was good for me on Tuesday. Renosky cristalina natural perch with green glow worm,10 ft lead off #20 jetdiver in pink,2 ounce Gibbs weight 50 ft up main line out 135, on small boards,at 2.4 mph got us two limits 10 walleye to 9 lbs in just over 2 hours.I'm going to miss next 5 days,in Toronto for Caribana Festival with wife's Guyanese family & friends. 8. Joe, Yes each rod has Custom Built For Capt Larry D Jones down near the handle on the blank. They are the blue Legend Tournament & Legend Elite Rods. Thanks for keeping an eye out for them. [ Post made via Android ]
  9. I parked in the one part of the Walmart parking lot that had no security camera coverage,my luck.Just have to watch eBay and Craig's List for now and hope the person is stupid. [ Post made via Android ]
  10. I'm offering a $1000 Reward for the recovery of 10 St.Croix Legend Tournament & Legend Elite Rods and Reel Combos robbed from my boat at Walmart in Jamestown ,NY yesterday. I'm sick, lost over $4800 of equipment. It had to be a client or someone that knew what I had because they passed on the trolling rods & tackle boxs laying out in the open and only took the new Legend Tourney & Legend Elite Rods. All the Rods have Custom Built For Capt Larry D Jones on them.If anyone has info please call me at 716-432-0198. 11. Adam,Launch at Erie Basin Marina, lots of depth usually no wait in or out, parking close to ramp as well. [ Post made via Android ]
  12. Yesterday I did not get on the water until 1:30 pm,caught a 38 to 40"er close to 2:00 pm.Water release no measurement, swam away strong. Quit at 2:15 to save the spot for today's charter.Waiting on thick fog this morning to lift enough to see at least 100 ft ahead of you. [ Post made via Android ]
  13. I will donate a Beckman Magnum Fin Saver Net with 6 ft Handle for the Auction. But I can't afford to ship it,cost is over $45.I would deliver it in Buffalo, bring it to the NY M.I. Chapter 69 meeting or to Chautauqua Oct 6th. Tourney or Winner can pay shipping. Value is $145.95 [ Post made via Android ]
  14. Tourney rules will stay as posted for the October 6th Tourney. So far only 12 fishermen have signed up.We need a good turnout, the Bait Fish Fund will spend $3000 this coming Monday for fathead minnows for Prendergast Hatchery, this leaves only $1179.00 in the account. That means we need to raise close to $2000 from the Oct and June 22nd,2013 to be able to purchase $3000 worth of fathead minnows again in 2013.Please signup for the October 6th Tourney so we can keep the Bait Fish Fund going. 15. I'll be headed for the north basin once the last thunder bangers roll by about noon. The rain can only help get the water surface back down to safe fish handling temperature. Oh just seen sunshine through the tree tops at camp, might get earlier start.10:18 am and still raining hard, maybe after 1:00 pm now for the start. [ Post made via Android ]
  16. For Tourney Info & signup go to the Musky-Pike-Walleye Area of LOU [ Post made via Android ]
  17. Its 8:30 am and still raining ,did he get on the water at 4 am in the thunder storm. [ Post made via Android ]
  18. Go east of Purina to 80 ft to 70 ft out on the Canadian line a little further east and the water temps are in the 70's and everyone going there are catching numbers and size.Better off launching out of the Cat and going straight out to 70 ft. [ Post made via Android ]
  19. The bottom tackle box tray looks like Radkie Pikie Minnows, they will work in shallow water near weed edge or down in the south basin's shallower water.I would go to Happy Hooker Bait & Tackle on NY 394 in Lakewood and purchase Baker Bait,Legend Perchbait or Wiley Crankbait in natural colors, perch, walleye or 9$ bass. You will need at least 50 lb power braid and a 3 ft steel or fluorocarbon 80 lb test leader as well.Trolling speed from 3.8 to 4.5 mph. 20. The decision at last nights meeting is to stay with the tourney rules that are in place for Oct 6th Chautauqua Tourney.Get input from those in the Tourney on October 6th as to what minimum size they would like, then have a vote at the NY Muskies Inc Chapter 69 meeting using that imput as consideration. We felt the small number present at last nights NY M.I. 69 meeting would not have been a fair vote without others input. [ Post made via Android ]
  21. Chuck,You know I agree with you on this, that is why I changed it to biggest fish a couple years back.Last year a large number of fishermen were asking for a most fish caught award, I gave them that but with a 40" minimum. I would like to see the tourney rules stay the same, however the tourneys will be run under NY Muskies Inc Chapter 69 starting next year,so it is up to the membership to decide on 30" or 40" minimum size for the tourney. We will vote on it tonight. [ Post made via Android ]
  22. We will vote on possibly changing the tourney rules to the Muskies Inc Contest Rules,30" minimum size with points system. The vote will be at the NY Muskies Inc. Chapter 69 meeting Tomarrow night. [ Post made via Android ]
  23. Stay in 35 ft of water with your lures down 25 ft.Casting look at a map, just past Chautauqua Estates going toward Hatfield Bay at the end of the trench just before the weeds get near the surface in 12 ft of water toss firetiger Suicks at pocket holes. [ Post made via Android ]
  24. The guys from PA Muskies Inc have raised a good point, all their tournaments are based on the Muskies Inc Contest Rules with a 30" minimum sizelimit. So starting next year the Chautauqua Tourneys will be officially run by NY Muskies Inc Chapter 69,it would deprive the membership of receiving M.I. Contest Awards for numbers of muskies caught if we continue with biggest fish over 40".So we need to vote on this at tomarrows meeting [ Post made via Android ]
  25. Tomarrow is the first Official NY Muskies Inc. Chapter 69 Meeting. If Chuck Bataglia and I can drive from Chautauqua for the meeting and get back at midnight or later, there should be no reason why you guys closer can't make it.See everyone Tomarrow at 7 pm at Nashville's!
