  1. Most important is getting enough persons willing to take a board position to the meeting May 9th,7:00 pm at Dicks.Need at least 6 Persons on the Board of Directors to get a Muskies Inc. Chapter Charter from Muskies Inc. International! Could be Empire State Muskies Inc Chapter as well! Capt. Larry
  2. That Tube was Hot last year at Cave Run PMTT worked like a jerkbait instead of lift and drop!
  3. I do not believe Muskies Inc International will let us use NY Muskies Inc Chapter, they may not even let us use WNY Muskies Inc Chapter.Because both names cover such a wide are and one of the other areas in NY state may want to start a Muskies Inc Chapter in the future. We can try for NY Muskies Inc Chapter 69 and see what they say! There is a Penn-Ohio Chapter! Capt. Larry
  4. Chad, Any fish caught trolling or were they all casting? May You & Mike turn it around on Day2!
  5. Chad, It is 7:30 pm if you post the 1st Day PMTT Results now LOU will have them up before Muskiefirst!
  6. Mike & Zach, Any lures will help make the table better! Thanks Capt. Larry
  7. Go to Crashes Landing and purchase a couple small firetiger Wiggle Worts and troll outside Zippo Flats!
  8. You can't fish Cave Run without a Lure Retriever,Frank Alcorn makes the best Lure Retriever/Knocker! Capt. Larry
  9. Four teams have Triples and One team has 5 muskies as of 1:30 pm.Local Guides Crash & Justin Mulins,Gregg Thomas,Tony Grant & Jack Burns are all on the Leader Board!
  10. Guys, I need your help with getting lures and other items for the Chautauqua Tourney Raffle Table. This year we are not getting the normal lure donations from many of the musky lure co's,everyone is cutting back and only supporting their local area's.Dr. Dave gave me a good amount of lures to start building the raffle table, but we still need many more to make the raffle successfull. You can mail any lure or item donation to Capt. Larry D. Jones, 268 Harrison Ave,Buffalo,NY 14223 or bring your donation to the Chautauqua Tourney Awards Presentation and put it directly on the table.
  11. 'Fishing has been crazy, best start ever for the Cave! 15 muskies or more already registered in just the first hour and a half.' 'Two doubles already' Stand by for more updates as they come in! That is what was reported at MuskieFirst,I hope Chad & Mike are getting in on those catches so far! Capt. Larry
  12. I will bring Chuck Battaglia Lakes Manager, Cassadaga Lakes Association and owner of Musky Itch Too Guide Service to the Muskies Inc. Chapter startup meeting. This is a very important meeting May 9th at 7:00 pm at Dick's Sporting Goods,300 Hylan Dr, Rochester, NY 14623 We need a good turnout to get the WNY Muskies Inc. Chapter started. We must have at least 6 people willing to take a Board Position to get a Muskies Inc.Chapter Charter from Muskies Inc. International. Some of the Muskies Inc. Board Positions can be done by people that live a good distance from Rochester,NY,we will also need Liason Persons for different lake area's through out WNY,also for tiger muskies as well as purebred muskies.Membership Director could be from anywhere in NY state, collect membership dues by check made out to the M.I.Chapter.Bring a friend, tell as many people as you can about this important Muskies Inc. Chapter startup meeting!
  13. LungeLumber to the Top of the Leader Board! Good Luck Today Chad & Mike!
  14. Justin's Muskie, over the door at Crashes Landing!
  15. Mark, My friend was trolling off Kellys Island using Reef Runners 75ft back early morning,120ft back mid day,1.2 mph, mostly bigger eyes as you said! Capt. Larry
  16. Tigerhunter,Being that you are close to Otselic Hatchery,NY states tiger muskie hatchery for the entire state, you could be our Tiger Muskie Liason Board Member.Keep us informed of issues & needs at Otselic Hatchery, via email reports for our New M.I. Chapters News Letter after we form the New Chapter.Maybe in the future we may end up helping the Tiger Muskie Program as we will do with the PureBred Muskie Program thru the Bait Fish Fund! Capt. Larry
  17. Water color looks a little clear, not the normal light brown tinge! I would downsize baits a little and when trolling get up to 6 mph. There are complete forests of underwater trees there and when the water is clear they will go down into those tree tops out of the sun.But then again at high noon if the sun is out head for beach sand areas where the heated sand from that sun beating on it radiates into the water causing a slightly warmer water by the beaches, draws in bait fish and feeding muskies, twitch baits, jerkbaits and Red October twisted tube in white. Do not forget Chinaman Beach up by the Dam,will not get fished by anybody but Crash or Justin! Capt. Larry
  18. Chad,You forgot the extra shallow hollow boat!
  19. My friend Duke from Mn just finished 4 days fishing Port Clinton area trolling reef runners, they did very well between to 4 of them they caught 70 eyes!
  20. May 9th will work for me as well. What time you want us there? Capt. Larry
  21. 60 more persons have looked, but not one donation, the muskie finerlings will not grow to be a little longer for a better survival rate without funds to purchase extra fathead minnows. Please if your not supporting the Bait Fish Fund by fishing the Tourney's,consider donating $25 here! Last year we purchased $3000 of Extra Fathead Minnows and the three outside ponds that recieved those extra minnows produced 10" Muskie Fingerlings, the ponds that did not get the extra minnows the Muskie Fingerlings were only 7 to 8" long. The Bait Fish Fund does work, but only if you the fishermen fund it!
  22. Zach,Set a date when Chad & Mike are back from PMTT Event at Cave Run! Capt. Larry
  23. We need to think about moving the Chautauqua Tourney and Bait Fish Fund to the New NY Muskies Inc Chapter once it is up and running.A Conservation Fund can be opened through the NY Muskies Inc Chapter for the Bait Fish Fund. But most important right now is getting more fishermen to signup for the June 23rd Tourney, everyone that has already signed up if you can talk one more fishermen to join us,we will have more then the 100 needed for a full field. The last two months only a few new entrees have trickled in,just remember if your not in by June 1st the only way to get in is on the day of the Tourney June 23rd between 6am and 9am at Mayville Lakeside Park & Launch.Any checks mailed that get to my home address after June 1st or PayPal payments after June 1st,you will have to come to Mayville Launch on the day of the Tourney to get your Tourney Button & Release Form, you also can't start fishing until you have the Tourney Button.I will be gone doing fishing charters in Ohio, then St.Clair and last Chautauqua Lake up to June 23rd and will not be able to mail any Tourney Packages durring that period.Every Tourney I get a dozen or more phone calls from fishermen wanting to signup and get the Tourney Button on Friday because they want to start fishing at Midnight Friday, the answer is Signup between Now & June 1st or show up at Mayville Launch the morning of June 23rd.We will not have signup kits at Happy Hooker this year either. Please get your Entry Fee in Now so I can put together your Tourney Package now to have it ready to mail before I start my full time guiding.
  24. Chad, Good Luck to You & Mike at Cave Run PMTT Event. I wish I could be there myself, but have other comitments this weekend on the water in NW PA. Maybe the LungeLumber will get you a Giant Lunge to Win! I look forward to seeing your live reports! Capt. Larry
