Don't even pick them up out of the water. I know you guys like to take pics but try to be carefull. Be ready with the camera . Pull it up , take the pick & get him back. I don't even bring my camara anymore.Not to say I don't take a pic once in a while. I & whoever comes with me knows what we caught. The images are forever photo albumed in my mind.

My dad winters in Venice Fla. We drove down in Feb to see him last year. My 14 year old, big Yank fan, The wife and I went up to Tampa to spring training. It Pitch & Catchers only. It was the day before everyone else was to report. A-rod with the steroid issue . The place was crawlling with media. We watched them come out , warm up , & break into drill sets. we followed Jaba, CC , Burrnett & Chin ming around. They went to a small diamond on the side. They were working on Pass ball , bunt, check runner drill etc. The first base coach was running it. We were standing at the backstop about 75 ' away from home. As I watched the drill s take place aside from CC they looked like a bunch of clowns out there. The coach was getting pissed & so was I . I have coached Baseball fro about 12 years now & these guys were worse than the kids . Jaba muffed two simple ground balls in a row . I yelled at him , "take a lap Jaba." He looked over his shoulder at me. the crowd laughed. I wanted to say " look at how much money is standing on that mound and you guys are goofing around ,you guys missed the playoffs last year but I didnt. The set ended and I told my son, Watch what happens this year, Jaba's going to screw up like he did in practice in a game. About 3 weeks into the season my son & i were watching and he muffed a grounder like in pratice.My son said , you called it dad. These guys make way to much money for playing a game they are suppose to love. I lost resect for Jaba that day & now know why he bombed as a starter. He's a head case IMO.If he dosn't come around by the trade deadline, I would get rid of him.

I aint how you start , it's how you finish. Last year they looked like heck, like they wouldn't make the playoffs, till A-rod jacked the first pitch he saw out. And then what happened? Can someone refresh my memory on how things ended up?

Those lakers saved the day for many of us out there over the years. Those are some nice ones.

I had a diawa baitcasterthat was 3 years out of waranty.( broke with little use). Sent it bavk to the main company in Calif. They fixed it & sent it back NC! Send it back to their main company instead of an authorized dealer unless you KNOW their reputation. Corp head has their reputation to think about, dealer has money on their mind IMO. That perch colored swin wizz or beiliver is one of my favs for notherns over shallow weeds on the front hook. maybe you could use that Daredevle as a shoehorn.

It seems to me after doing this a long time & a lot of diferent ways that each method has its day of being the best way to present your offering. But I must admit when I went from a mono rig w/ floats to a fly rod with fly line & had to cast & mend in a lot of different situations on the stream, it was like going from a slug gun to a bow for deer.Mega adjustments. Bait compaired to a fly is like apples & oranges. Bait makes up for a lot of angler mistakes that a fly fished on a fly line won't .

If the water is muddy , try a chartruse (or any brite color) rattletrap. Any of the small runnoffs to the lake will attract browns.

I work with different people every day on my job. I !!!! and moan to them every day about this stuff.Some , especialy the young guys, have no clue. All lot of the information I get is off this site. Long line did a lot of research on the windmills & posted those facts on here . What you call P111 & moaning I call educating my fellow Americans who if they only new the truth would be as up in arms as much as those of use that do are. And what does this have to do with fishing? A lot more than you may think.

Walmart has steel leaders I like . 18lb 9" w ball bearings for pike. . I would tie direct to braid . If you use mono 15 would be my minumum. If you use the stingr ,my guess is you won't need the braid. This will get you set for when the season starts. The braid is pretty hard to cut thru so you might get away with tying it direct. Use a palomar or trilene knot. Braid has a tendency to slip.

Is your hook sharp? A 7/0 hook is a big hook to drive in the bone of a fish mouth . The Power pro should help a lot. Try to hook a stinger hook such as a size one or 1/0 treble onto the bend of the 7/0 hook before you hook it back thru. Is the hook point exposed a liitle and not buried in the bait? . If it's not weedy I'll bet the treble will up your landing percentage a lot. Invest in a file or Diamond hone (Walmart 6 bucks) to sharpen your hooks. Its the most overlooked reason for fish loss IMO.

If you are going to the bar I would use the Pilsner, Lager, Shot Glass,Manhatan are all good. Throw in the Chiken wing, Peperonie pizza. Or a bind herring or the pickled egg if you are brave . As for flies ,the bar types are somtimes good. The Flashy pinball or pooltable in green can be fun. Seriously a summertime program works off the red can & riggers & planners work on it. Run stuff just off bottom for both kings & laker. Colors vary w/ water color which can be influenced by winds on Lake ERie. Fishing can be hot at times. 20 fish days are commons.Get a map. Get Canada lic. if you want to fish all of it or go in front of the Welland canal.

Shot thru the hull on my aluminum canue & it worked great. Test it out by putting it in the bilge wiyh some water covering it to test as I did. Then silicone as L&M said.

I wouldn't say its a change of subject, it's all really the same thing. Salt in a resaturant & Obamas suposed proposed land grab and attempt at banning fishing in some areas have a lot to do with each other . It's the ever growing gov intrusion in our lives. It's the making the US population dependent on gov instead of themselves so these guys in power can retain & have more power thing . I'm sick of these entitlements that more citizens each day become more addicted to & we have to pay for. On the streets of our cities it the "Whose gunna die tonight game?" But were more worried about the salt on my popcorn. I guess I'm a loony also.

Glen Beck was just ranting about the same thing Tall Tales post stated in " Disturbing Article " . I belive he said the gov wants to obtain 11 million acres for monuments. And to apease envromentalist. ban fishing on large parts of the oceans & great lakes & some inland waters. Watch out boys, here it comes!
