Anyone know where you can get glow spray paint like what was used on the old style glo J plugs ?

Getting back into the game this year& being the cheapskate that I am I went thru my spoons. A lot were tarnished ,tape & paint falling off , etc. I took some zip strip to them with a tooth brush to take off down to the metal. Took some New Finish car polish & buffed them out. Most look like I just took them out of the package. What a difference. Now to Tape , Paint ,sharpie & cover with clear laquer. I did NK's, & Pirates mostly. 20 all told at $ 4-5 a pop.

Being a carpenter , one of the first things I learned was , "Water on wood no good " I would not use CDX or any 'Exterior grade pyls. They are meant to be covered with Siding ,etc Not direct to weater. Pt ply sealed covered with carpet would be my choice. Use Stainless or hot dipped fastners.

Maybe he will give all of us out in fishland a $200 grant to go out & buy new equipment for the upcoming season. Yes , we the people have a lot of say come NOV. She is all set up for LO fish , although I could use down speed & temp , but thats not in the budget right now. I wonder what I might need to do to fire it up after sitting so long.

Getting ready to pull my big boat out of the barn after 5 years in storage. It's an 86 tropy w/ 305 chevy omc. Both engine and lower unit were both completely rebuilt a few years prior to storage. Any suggetions?

Don't blame the Dems for all the problems. We had a two term repub gov as I recall. A lot of our local reps are repubs & They havent said Boo as a lot of jobs & tax rev left the state.Its not repub , dem . It's conservative , liberal.This has been going on for a long time. Where are the docks at the Oak? If they don't get put in we should all go down with a bunch of us & put them in ourselves. Can't be that hard to bolt them together. After all, as NY residents, they are OURS.If they put up barriers, well ,we can get around that. It's not if they can't keep it open , we can. It's we will.

I have been dragging drywall buckets since the 80's . I have 2 on my 21 ft hardtop which has a tendency to"grab " the wind going with it . I take the handel off the pail, drill about ten 3/4 inch holes in the bottom, drill 4 holes accross from each other in the ring where the handle was & make a rope harness( sounds harder than it is ) I tie them midship on each side. with rope long enough so the are ahead of my down & outs. They work great. I use one or both or none at times. when i get a big fish I drop them both in . Kind of got it down to a science. Precision speed is critical and this helps . Also is good to keep r's up for oil pressure. Go to any constrution site & look in the dumpster. Somtimes you can get a stack of them and they have tons of uses. Just watch out for ones with top on . they make good toilets also.

They are spending a lot of borrowed money. The state does not take in enough to cover what is going out. That to me that makes us broke. But for some reason that evades me, for the gov ,Broke is not broke. If I ran my 2 buisnesses like that I would be living in a carboard box( But be eligeble for health ,food , housing benifits & free cash) We have made retirement& other promises we can't keep to keep union members happy for their votes.And thats just scratching the surface. Read this morn in paper all the PROPOSED closures will save a grand total of 6.2 million bucks. Happy days are here again.Now if you are a local legislator that has one of these parks in your district , you have to kiss a**& make deals to not get it closed. Might I suggest a cut in pay & benefits for all members of our state legislature for shared sacrifice ? All those public works projects were just window dressing to give people a few bucks to survive on. things did not really turn around untill 1939 when things got crazy over in Europe . We were a manufacturing superpower shiping just about everthing everywhere at that time.We need to be that manufacturing power once again. Also people were a little more self reliant back then cause they had to be. Then FDR gave them a free lunch and here we are today , BROKE. The Seaway system opened up the center of the country to the world and it prospered. It's to bad the rest happened to the lake biosystem. If you think the powers at be are going to shut it all down for a carp, dream on.

Quite honestly I would not expect them to. Many peoples livelyhoods depend on that canal to be up & running. Are we to expect the world economy to shut down in hopes to postpone the inevitable? I dont care for polititians but somtimes they gotta do what they gotta do.

When these carp get into the Great Lakes, & it's only a matter of time as I see it , no one knows for sure what will happen. It will most probably have a bad effect on the fishery but that remains to be seen. I think the fishery will survive somehow. Changed yes , but it will survive. Who knows , one of the next invasives may have a positive effect on the TRT & SAL.I would think Pike & Musky would be in all their glory. And if it's the end ,well it was fun while it lasted. If I were to make a weekend bachlor party trip, which sounds like a great idea, I would have to go out of the Niagara bar. And stay as close to Canada as possible to see the Canadian Ballet after the fishing action.

Was fishing with our scout troop by at the Cape by Fox island early 70's & I caught 2 in the span of about 1 hr. Was about 14 or so. Faught like hell as I remember. Our Scoutmaster kept them . Skinned them & wraped the skin around his wrist for his artritis.

The real Super bowl was the Saints & Vikings. I belive the Colts would have lost to either . The Saints D was way better than billed.Ask Warner & Favre& now Manning.Proves the QB can't do it all. Evil Eyes, Flutterchucks, Suttons, Cleo's , & J plugs etc. all still work. But there are better options some have more confidence in.

Blue slv/, green sil/, blck /slv orang belly , blck gold orange belly , Fire tiger 5" floting w rattles. Caught some big kings on them off riggers in 30 & less water around structure in spring. green silv used to be my best for kings.
