So the story this buck moved in to one of my spots like a week ago and was daylights so I knew it was time! I hunted one side of the property he would be on the other day after day! Finally Thursday had a doe come by a spot I picked and make a few shooting lanes (most people who know me know I hunt from the ground a lot so I have to make a lot of shooting lanes). So he was behind her and she went right thru my opening and he skirted it and stayed 45 yds into some brush enough I didn't wanna risk a shot. I let him him walk away without trying to sling one. So Yesterday sat a different spot mid property and first thing in the morning had a buck come thru dark enough I couldn't make out enough of the rack to confidently know it was a good buck or not. So at 11 here he comes to my right, straight at me he's 35 and walking right to me . So had to grab my bow And turn without him seeing me again he went in my shooting lane I stopped him and he stopps perfectly behind a tree .. so waited and let down for him to go to next opening he kept going further to my right. So I had to keep twisting without standing up. He stopped on his own in an opening and I lined up sent it and hit him back . ****. He ran like 40yds then slowly walked away just wobbling back and forth. . so I waited 2 hrs checked sight for arrow no arrow . Checked for blood and had some but not a ton but enough to follow and stomach content's in the blood. So he wasn't dead in first 40yds from where i saw him. So backed out for a full 24hrs to play it on the safe side he was going right into a thicket so hoped he would get in there and bed down. Went back today and we found him right there where I expected he did lay down 4-5 times before his final bed but he was right there! He is a main frame 8 that had triple brows points on each side. He did break one off so only had 5 but still pretty cool buck none the less!
